Surprised that Spartan didn't start this thread by now. Wichita State sure looks better than a 10 seed. WSU's point guard is great!

I really hope Wichita State gets an invite to the AAC after this tournament. They deserve way better than the Mo Valley. Plus the AAC currently only has 11 basketball members (Navy is the 12th school for football, but they don't have basketball.)

Shamet is a prime example of why Missouri Basketball is a joke right now. He was a top 100 recruit from KC and never received an offer from the Tigers.

Navy doesn't have basketball anymore? When did that happen? Didn't the Admiral play there?

Bummer. It was a really good game. Bad luck to Calipari the rest of the way.

I think Kentucky had a lot to do with those last 2 possessions. Winking
The blocked shots were definitely great defensive plays, but at no point did WSU get any kind of ball movement or separation. Kentucky deserves credit for that too, but the Shockers did a lot of standing around.

I hear what you are saying but the Kentucky defenders smothered Wichita State on those 2 possessions.

This is a HUSKER board. Why all the rah-rah posts about other teams? Wichita St lost so it was like they never even went.

Since Nebraska rarely makes the tournament...Husker fans have to live vicariously through other college basketball teams hoping one day the Huskers will make the tournament again in their lifetime. Sad but true. Winking

Sounds like they about kicked her out DURING the game...

"According to Kennedy Hardman of WTVQ, arena security paid Lynn Marshall three visits during the game, and thought about having her leave but decided to be “delicate” because they knew Marshall was the head coach’s wife."

Those Marshalls sure are classy folks. I will give them credit, they appear to be very competitive and passionate people (and that's not always bad).

I think Marshall is as good as gone to Indiana-but what do I know....

amateurs ... both Fran McCaffery and his wife were kicked out of the same game in 2006 while at Sienna

"It was not the first time that McCaffery’s emotions had been problematic. Heslammed a chair during a loss to Michigan State in 2012. As Siena’s coach, he was ejected from a game against Hofstra in 2006. His wife, Margaret, was kicked out of the game, too."

Hello, guys...had the flu past two days...watched the game curled up in my recliner with about 16 blankets over me...on way to doc now...I NEVER GET SICK!

Thought it was a very good game....they uncharacteristically had no timeouts left, when one might have helped.

Alford has an $7.8 million buyout. Plus $4 million+ a year to hire him. Thats a lot of jack. Of course they saved a bunch of money getting rid of their football coach for half a million.

I think whether Alford stays at UCLA might depend on who he has coming back. Lonzo Ball is almost certainly gone, but if he could get Leaf and Welsh to come back and bring in a new PG, UCLA would be loaded next year. Some people had Leaf pegged as a one-and-done, but I don't think that's a sure thing.

Don't know how much he likes his family, but his kid is on the squad at UCLA...

Is Alford Indiana's version of Scott Frost (local, national title winning, alum who will some day come back and bring back the 'glory')?
