I hate to say it but if Moos doesn't knock this one out of the park my support will be close to gone. The last 18 years has me pretty indifferent as it is. I've got better things to do and spend my money on.

If Moos fires Riley and hires Justin Wilcox the sellout streak ends next August
I think outside of Frost or Chip Kelly or some other monster name hire the streak will end. The 50% of fan base has checked out. It is going to take something pretty big to get people back involved.

This ain't gonna happen. Green and Bounds will not let Moos do something that stupid.

Scott Frost will be our next coach
Frost has the final say in that. Not Moos and Green. Right now knowing what I know about how coach's think, there's whole bunch of guys that wouldn't touch NU's job.

And a bunch who would. Frost is one of them.
You are being too pessimistic. Strange for someone who has been one of the lone voices of optimism on here this season.

And if Frost was smart, he wouldn't either.
If Nebraska is still indeed Scott's dream job, this may be his one of his only chances to come back to NU IMO. Sure he can stay at UCF or go to Florida but one way or another I believe we will have a new head honcho come December. No matter what chatter is going on, I believe that Frost has already been contacted by Moos. It really is up to Scott.

Of course Frost knows the job is his if he wants it. We need to give him the keys to the kingdom and accept our collective fate.

There is absolutely no chance that Riley is back now. IF we struck out in preliminary talks with agents across the board, maybe they would have given him another year with 6 wins and good showings in the last losses but we would have to be very desperate for that to happen. Now there's no way he comes back...Watch him beat Iowa and PSU now.Laughing

I'd take it but I'd hope that those games don't save their jobs. We don't need a coaching staff in place that is trying to keep their jobs, although I think at this point they know there is no reason for them to try.

It can't imagine it would save them now and it isn't going ot happen any way. I'll still root for the team to win and send Riley and the seniors out on a good note.

If Minnesota was able to hire PJ Fleck, we should be able to do a lot better than Justin Wilcox.

Is Fleck going to end up being better than Wilcox. I would hope we could find somebody with a longer track record than Wilcox but who knows.

I would agree, the boosters and fan support has diminished significantly over that past 3 years

Another misstep or experiment with this hirecan't be made

It is for that reason I'm not sold on Frost

It may be the hire we need but a one year run at a non power 5 school in Florida doesn't get me all that excited

If Moos values his home, and doesn't want to see it burned to the ground by a rabid fanbase, he had better not make a ridiculous hire like that. I would honestly fear for his safety if he did something so half-baked.
If that happened, and nothing surprises me anymore, it would just be more of the same. We’ll go about our lives. And be upset about Nebraska Football when the season arrives. Then we’ll come back here to vent.

Truly, it’s a great business model for places like HO. Most people don’t go on the internet after a great win, they celebrate. Us? We stew.

I just don't see the love for Wilcox....other than the nice win against WSU, what has he accomplished? He got fired as defensive coordinator at USC just a couple years ago. His defenses at Washington and Tennessee weren't very good either.

Fleck took WMU from 1-11 to 13-0 and a BCS Bowl in only a few years. If Minnesota can land a guy like that, Wilcox would be a massively underwhelming hire at Nebraska.
