nice crowds at Spring football games, no shutouts in same, Ole Miss beat Florida on the road.

On the other hand: MSU reports secondary violations and it appears Mullen was less than truthful; USM announcers spew racial slurs and obscene comments in lieu of play by play of their Spring game; and, to top it off, Andy Kennedy cops a plea and has to apologize to the cab driver for yelling at him.

Wow, I guess Mississippi Sports could be diagnosed bi-polar with these highs and lows!!

On Monday, Kennedy, wearing a black suit, apologized to cab driver Mohamed Moctar Jiddou, valet Michael Strother, who witnessed the alleged assault, and a Cincinnati police officer "for any role that I may have played in this unfortunate situation."
I'm not picking on Kennedy here because pretty much every famous person who has ever done something embarrassing does the same thing. He's not admitting anything or apologizing for anything. Either apologize or don't, but don't insult our intelligence with this ********.

Three witnesses said he never got even close to the cab driver. The driver was irritated and simply made it up just try to get them in trouble.
AK pled guilty to the lesser offense just to get this behind him.

He was wrongly accused and is still suing the driver in the civil case for making up this story.
So... why should he apologize for something he never did?

Second, if he didn't do anything, then he shouldn't apologize. Period. Like I said, either apologize or don't apologize, but you just make yourself look like an idiot when you apologize to the cabbie for something you don't even admit to doing in the first place.

You're sounding about as woolly as some of the Swan Lake ilk...

If he never did it then why cop to a lesser plea? I know if I was truly not guilty of a crime I would fight it tooth and nail until I was proven innocent. Why would he, with all his character and dignity on the line, and with all the wealth and power of Ole Miss at his disposal, just try to brush this under the carpet by pleading guilty to a lesser charge?
