Will any team that has never been in the state finals make it this year (5a-8a)?

I don't want to put the KOD on my team or any team by picking them!! I don't want to invite any bad mojo!!
But after the regular season and when the brackets are announced-- I will pick a team in the opposite bracket from LA in 8a and SHG/Montini in 6A. Hopefully there will be one team in the opposite bracket in those two classes that has never made it to a state finals game)

In analyzing this , it would definitely come from 5A. Naz is on 5/6A border, Montini and SHG are bumped up to 6A, LWW is bumped to 6/7A , Laurence is bumped to 6A (won a title in '76 and a 2nd before in '79) with multiplier now in effect, and JC definitely will not have an "A" team.

yep 5A and it Washington, that's what we've been clearing the ranks of 5A for right?
Washington been in a title game before.
I was thinking possibly Neuqua.
What does Huntley have coming back?
Rockford Auburn in 7A. Might be a bit of a stretch this year, but they aren't far away.
If LA is one 8A participant then no, not NV. May as well pencil it in LWE v LA. Ive been waiting on that one.

That's what everyone was saying last year about HF and LA.... But they were on the same side of the bracket and ended up meeting in the quarters I think. There were at least 3 undefeated teams edwardsville and maybe Huntley and they ended up on the other side away from LA. I guess I'm saying it really matters which side of the bracket you are on if you are one of the "good chance to make your first finals" teams
True thats what everyone was saying about HF and LA. But LWE doesnt lose to The Brook at home. That alone makes it different. We will have to see if anyone else comes up undefeated though... Maybe Huntley or Palatine? Has Palatine made one? I would be really shocked if a new school made it in 8A this year with about 6 schools that I think will be really strong... Rice for example

Last year we finally got 1-32, but it was imbalanced. Neuqua had a shot, but didn't match up well in the cold vs the 'Skins. And MC stopped Dudek back in '12. *
If I were to pick a team to make some hay 5-8A, I'd go with Palatine.
Maybe Lake Forest. They have some talent.

I think 3 or 4 yes. Vederian Lowe has dropped 20 pounds this offseason, down to 320ish and has committed to Illinois. By all accounts he dominated the 2 Illinois Camps he attended this summer. Danteiro Hannah is back as well, both kids will be 3 year varsity guys. QB is also back and hes pretty dynamic running and is an OK passer. I think this is Appino's 5th year there, at some point they are going to get to the Final 4, Final 2, or win one.
