He just posted this on Twitter… and if you don’t know the context of this video it was first made by Tom Brady after him and Gronk decided to return after winning a super bowl a few years ago… with the line as “we ain’t goin nowhere” in this part of the song

Im gonna say it’s just a video mimicking the awesomeness of the original and he’s not returning and it’s just a championship thing but man… if he returned… we could run it back.

As a fan, I’d love for him to return so I can watch him another year and see our team succeed even more because of that decision

As a realist, I think it wouldn’t be super smart to return especially after the postseason run he just had. Hard to pass on that money and risk it with another season.

Interesting either way. Not sure if he’s wanting to come back to finish a degree or if that would even have a role in the decision making process. Obviously just a ton of speculation on my part and wishful thinking.

Probably. But it's also possible he's just riding a high and there is a big part of him that sincerely wants to come back, even if there is almost zero chance of it happening once he looks at the numbers.

Regardless, I hereby publicly commit to contribute $100 if Dawgstudent can get Bednar signed to an SPS sponsorship for the 2022 season at MSU. Ideally he'd change his jersey number to 17 as part of the sponsorship deal, but I'll contribute to any deal that involves him staying at MSU for 2022.

He just turned 21 in June, even though he’s technically only a sophomore the time to start on the professional path is now IMO. He won’t have as much leverage if he waits. Time is money and he could probably reach AA level at age 22 if he starts professionally now.

Absolutely. After his showing during the season and in the CWS he should be pretty near the top. I'd like to see him come back, but there's always the risk of injury. He shouldn't turn the money and career down.

If he goes in the first round, I'd rather him go. Don't want him to risk injury or having a bad season.

For his sake, he should strike while the iron is hot and get his money. It's a shame we didn't get the Bednar/Sims for longer, but such is life. He's achieved all he can achieve in college with a natty.

I would give it about a 1% chance that he comes back. He has absolutely nothing left to prove at the college level. The only thing missing from his game is a reliable third pitch and he can develop that in the minors.

Thanks for the memories Willy B, time to go get paid. I worry that if he came back he could do way more harm than good for himself. It would be difficult for his name to be any hotter next year than it is right now.
