I'm just a few minutes in, but he's wearing a State shirt at 2:16. How often does he make it back to campus?

Apparently this is Part III. I'm scouring these enigmatic interwebs, like a 12 yr old female Justin Beaver fan, trying to find the other two first. For I just CAN'T watch them out of sync. I idolized Clark growing up. Obviously part of me still does. Thanks for posting this. I'll post the other two if I can find them!

Watch yourself Cochise a number of people on here didn't get an autograph and don't like Will Clark that much. I think most of the others are too young to remember him. I used to go to Dudy Noble early to watch him and Palmeiro take BP.
He deserves to be in the HOF in light of all the steroid use by others skewing the numbers so much. 35 dingers in one year is a lot for someone not on the juice not to mention how clutch he was especially when he had to fill in for steroid abuser McGwire to get the Cards in the playoffs that year he ended his own career.

Thanks for posting. The hate by some for Clark I can understand but I have always liked the guy. I had a bunch of friends growing up who idolized the guy, me included.

^^^ This. Thanks for posting. Clark was who I idolized as well. Though I don't remember getting to watch him while he was at State, since I was 5 or 6. I started following him in the late 80's. Will was my fav, Murph was my 2nd fav.

Just curious why a State fan would hate Clark?

I was in school when he, Palmeiro, Thigpen, Brantley played and came oh so close to playing in the NCAA finals. He was cocky but one hell of a baseball player.

That segment opened my eyes

To a side of Clark I didn't know about. I don't care what kind of grudge you had against the guy after seeing that. Also he still wears maroon and white. How many of our greats have gone on to awesome careers and you had no idea they played at State. Clark wears it proudly plus his style of play is something that you don't see much anymore. We see glimpses with Puig but it is becoming a thing of the past. He was a ball player.

Just finished PART III, was going to pose that question as well. I learned a lot from these three 20 min videos.

For example: I've heard that Clark started the talking into the glove thing, but only by maybe the same 2 fans. I never heard it confirmed, especially not confirmed in this way. It wasn't his idea, it was that he read Greg Maddux's lips, and ripped a Grand Slam off him! He was the catalyst.

I agree. I had no idea the role he's playing in the Autism community, and how he's using his platform as a successful athlete to promote awareness.

I was fortunate enough to spend time with Will on several occasions in the past and I can understand why there is some Will hate. People think if you don't kiss their *** you are an ***. Will always told things like they were and that is just his style. He is not trying to piss you off, but if you don't like what he has to say, it will and he will not apologize for it. If you listen to what he says about his relationship with Bonds in this segment, that was he attitude towards everyone.

If you take some time to get to know Will you will find out he is really a good guy.

I think Will is no different than most cocky athletes. Initially most people

are turned off and if they ever get the chance to know them then they hold a very different opinion.
Being cocky comes naturally for a lot of great players and folks shouldn't let that define the person in all
cases.

Go read Jason Stark's column on this on ESPN. He mentions this incident, but it doesn't get much traction. Then he asks Curt Schilling if it could have been him and uber narcissist Schilling claimed it like a winning lottery ticket.

I respect Will Clark and what he means to MSU baseball but....

Thanks for posting. The hate by some for Clark I can understand but I have always liked the guy. I had a bunch of friends growing up who idolized the guy, me included.

But he can come across as an egotistical prick and without the MSU connection I can see myself not liking him much. I also did not appreciate his smug comments about Palmeiro when all that went down and I think that didn't go over well with many other Bulldog fans either.

It

is pretty amazing how much he supports MSU, and pulls for them. A few weeks back he was handling the Giants' twitter account and someone asked him about following State still and he replied with "Go Dawgs!" or something like that. I mean this is a twitter account that has nearly half a million followers. Great publicity.
