Biggest problem is sometimes there is more entertainment outside of the stadium than inside.
I don’t think there is a huge difference in the # of people who go to the games. But there is a difference in the # of people who go into the stadium.
You can have all the food and sometimes alcohol you want when you are tailgating through the game.

I believe many followers of WVU sports (majority via TV) will be very happy when everything returns to normal this season. Some (those will jobs) may well get the urge to return to Mountaineer Field for a game. It will be a way of celebrating the disappearance of coronavirus.

We'll see September 11 against Long Island, not a true test, but more importantly September 18 against Virginia Tech. If the Hokies in town doesn't fill up Mountaineer Field, then nothing will in 2021. By the time Texas shows up in November 20, if the W-L isn't to fans' satisfaction, even that won't top the VPI contest crowd. In my opinion. Echoes of Michael Vick will fill the air September 18! Even though it was 1999, it still hurts that no Mountaineer shoved him out of bounds to prevent the loss. He ran so close to the sidelines that you could almost see the chalkdust flying.

If you think the meaning of contest is the same as football game then there is nothing anybody can say. It makes you sound like someone who was the water boy or team manager in high school but tells everbody he was the star. Personally I could care less what you post.
