Are you saying or inferring that stoops did not intercede in the offensive play Levi?????This is a very presumptuous post.

I Think an older experienced OC would know better how to relate with Stoops and maybe stop some of the crazy things from happening some of the problems could be confusion of Coaches trying to please each other. Remember for the SEC we have had a very inexperienced Coaching staff.I'm not sure if Stoops did interfere (and nobody else here knows), but what I do know is I would be more comfortable with Gran.
He has experience managing games, he's worked in superior positions to Stoops previously, while they were at Florida State together, he's a long-time veteran coach. He seems like the kind of personality that Stoops would defer to during games because of those things, and if Stoops does defer to him, we should be successful. If Eddie Gran is hired here, I think Stoops recognizes that.
I have been wondering lately about this sort of issue. I was wondering that if Stoops is micromanaging the OC if maybe this was why Gran wasn't offered the position last year. Maybe he talked to MS last year and wanted autonomy but was never told that he would have that here. A year and one OC later maybe Stoops(assuming that these arguments are valid) realizes his butt is on the line and he has offered that autonomy to a new OC. Just a theory based on nothing more than conjecture.
No. He told Dawson that he would not interfere with Dawson's playcalling, and it would be sink or swim for him. There's nothing that supports the claim that Stoops did interfere with offensive playcalling, and Dawson sunk.
So it's purely a coincidence that we brought in 2 different OC's who run an "Air Raid" offense, and both chose to call draw plays up the middle every down while at UK?
