if we go through all this in the first year of the 12 team invitational tournament and they give us Indi-freaking-ana I will barf into my milano bread bag
I think like basketball they would consider same conference opponents.
No == PSU - Indiana
No == ND- Clemson
As a matter of fact i would reverse those two based on the chatter that ND and Indiana play weak schedules
and being instate schools.
Clemson saying PSU doesn't belong in the conversation along with the SEC chiming in with the same
rhetoric.
To much football to be played for projections, a lot will change the next 2 weeks.

The CFP can do whatever they want - and I would be extraordinarily surprised if they wouldn't adjust their slottings to ensure that you don't have matchups like IU-PSU (and, even more so, a match up like IU-OSU).
No one would say that out loud, of course.
