As a Parklane alum and former basketball star there (by star I mean occasional starter/6th man), I hope we kick the crap out of Pillow. Parklane has typically had some pretty average to bad teams so its nice to see them doing well for a change. Where and when are they playing?

I remember watching her at prep, back in the mid 90's. The overall tournament, saw some pretty good basketball back then.

Nice. I'll be in town this weekend. Hopefully we can defend home court and I'll get to take in a game or two. Thanks for the info.

Look out for number 3 for pillow he's got a good 3 point jumpshot and can light team up form behind the arc

Pillow's JV boys team just beat Jackson Academy in the conference championship game. That ended a JA NINE year run as conference champion. Go Mustangs!!

McComb High School Alum here! Good luck to Parklane. I don't know much about the Private school athletics' competition, but when I was at McComb, Parklane was pretty good in all sports. Hell, I had friends that played sports for Parklane. Always went to games just to see the muff!

Go Tigers!
GO DAWGS!!!!

A name I haven't heard in a long time. When we played them in sports, she was worth the price of admission to get a peek.

As a Central Holmes alum, I concur with that fact. Pillow Academy can also thank us for giving them one of the greatest basketball coaches in MPSA history (Durwin Carpenter). Also, our former high school boys basketball coach is now the head coach for the Kentucky Lady Wildcats (Matthew Mitchell). Pretty impressive for a 1A private school.

Mitchell's first head coaching gig was CHA for 2 years. I was a starter both years. We only had 9 players so he would scrimmage with us most of the time. Always knew he would be successful. He actually got in good with Pat Summit which jump started his college coaching career. And both Carpenter girls are still very good looking.

Duease isn't near as big an ******* as people make him out to be. Most people who play for him end up really liking him.

I played for Duease (won two state titles) and we all loved him. People hate him because he beats the **** out of them. Prep and JA can't stand MRA being better than them.

I'm afraid Hillcrest takes the title when it comes to recruiting of any sort in the MPSA. JA isn't exactly immune to basketabll recruiting either. Last time I checked MRA is going for their third strait Overall title so I wouldn't bash Duease too much.

I went there, I know how everything works. The Patriot Club can offer partial scholarships to kids who can't afford to go there, several of my friends were on them. Every private school does similar things.
