Will Slive suspend OM's Elston today?

Day got a half game the first time he did a single stomping incident last year, did he not? Elston is getting a half game now. That's called fair to anyone with a brain.

Seriously doubt that. Day got a half game for his first offense last year too.
But yes, I know, Day was innocent. His foot just happened to land on a guy with extra force...twice in the same game, even though anyone who has ever been a football player (or any kind of athlete) knows you have a lot of control over your body when you're going over a pile and can certainly avoid that type of contact more than not, and at the very least, you can ensure that not all of your weight ends up in one spot on top of a player. Day's actions were just as accidental as Elston's.
I said two weeks ago in the Day thread that I thought Elston was dirty. I wasn't ashamed to call out my own player for what he is. After watching this video, I do think he was kicking at Drake on purpose. We can argue whether he was trying to injure or whether he was trying to kick the ball away, but either way, he kicked at him. Either is Bush League and unnecessary, and yes he deserves a suspension. Full game? Not based on precedent, but if he does it again next year in another game...especially twice in the same game, then yes give him a full game then.
I'm not sure if the SEC office would've jumped on it if Freeze hadn't. That largely would've depended on whether Bama would've sent the tape in over it. Freeze did the right thing in jumping on it and not waiting, but I think the SEC office either would've done nothing (if Bama didn't complain), or they'd have gone half a game based on precedent. They could've gone full game, and I wouldn't have complained, but I think precedent says half a game.

So nothing at all changed in this conversation since Day was suspended? This was a new conversation discussing whether or not Slive would be consistent.
Also, I'm sorry that we weren't discussing enough about our game with Auburn for you...you the OM fan on an MSU board. This was related to sports. It was related to our team. It was related to recent events. Get over it.
