I would think if we had spent 22 million guys like Stokes and those other boys would be knocking down the door to play here. Best players get the best money, right?

I did the Math. Obviously, your understanding of economics is limited. In America you get paid based on what someone is willing to pay you. That sets the Market Value. Ask, LSU what the market value is for Sam Leavitt. One week, it was a couple million, then the next week, it was 4 to 5 million. Football is a business and if someone wants to talk to Stoops about a job, he should listen. That is called common sense. Something obviously you struggle with.
Do you think any team in the country would pay Stoops 10 mil today? Everyone knows the answer to that is no. This is evidence that he was overpaid. Just because Mitch gave Stoops a ridiculous contract, doesn't mean that Stoops was being paid at his true market value. He was never close to being a top 10 coach, yet he was being paid like a top 10 coach. He did some good things for UK and he was overpaid.

We can’t prove we did or did not. Widely reported that was the number but if you take the reported numbers for the top players it doesn’t add up or make sense unless we wildly overpaid for everyone on the bench.
Correct. Although if no one denies it and they have had ample opportunity, then I am inclined to believe it and yes we would have overpaid

That is one of the stupidest rationales that I have heard. I guess because I paid 40k for my car in 2021, I must have overpaid because it is not worth 40K today.
Bottom line is you do not like Stoops and you do not understand how bad Kentucky football was before him. I am thankful for what he did and do not resent how much he was paid. He provided some great seasons and bowl experiences for this program. I am glad he got every penny he received.

He's definitely kinda hampered by our NIL situation, hoping he hires a GM soon.
Yeah, those one things are really hampering his recruiting. If we get rid of that one thing and the other stuff that hampers him, he will be back to being Calipari on the recruiting trail.
