madison central did a great job of stopping south panola's run. you have to keep them from breaking the big one. sure, they'll have a few. but don't let it happen often, and you'll be okay. madison central made renfroe beat them, and he did just that. he did make some mistakes, including the INT that lead to MC taking a 14-10 lead in the 3rd. but he was able to convert on a critical 3rd and 18 and threw a huge touchdown on a 4th and 15.
madison central had some success throwing the ball. there were holes in south panola's defense. if russell steps up and plays like a star, meridian should have no trouble moving the ball. the key is on defense - you need to force south panola into 3rd and 7 or more. then, renfroe has to beat you. if you can get some pressure on him and keep him contained (he's a good runner too), you have a chance to win. if they have 3rd and 2's all night, you're in big trouble.
