Will this football helmet logo ever be a real possibility?

It is my favorite logo
But it belongs on the baseball filed.
I'm content with the M-state on our helmets but really miss jackie's interlocking MSU that Nike did. Yea, I know... 99% of our fan base feels the same way.

Here's my cousin's youth team in St. Martin (Ocean Springs). St. Martin High uses the same logo.

This looks good on a helmet, but it isn't our baseball logo. Our baseball logo is slimmer and the point in the middle if the "M" doesn't touch the bottom of the "S". Our actually logo (as it is on the hats) wouldn't look as good.
Plus, with it being the baseball team's identity, I say leave it alone.

Banner M is the gayest logo on a college football helmet. And it looks like a shitastic Ivy League design.

So if you took the said logo on the helmet and started printing it on shirts, it would be legit? No. It is the baseball logo.
We can't let tradition prohibit progress. The MS baseball logo is our BEST athletic logo, and it isn't even close. I think it would look great on the football helmet, and should be used immediately and 10 years ago.
The great thing about the MS logo is that is OUR logo. This changing logo stuff has to stop and the MS logo being on the football helmet is the single thing that can make that happen.
We all want consistency in our uniforms in the same way Alabama, Auburn, LSU, etc have. Going to the MS logo on the football helmets would give us that. There would never be another reason for as long as the university exist to change logo.

I know I'm in the minority but I like the banner M State logo on the football helmets. The MS logo has always been a baseball thing. I never did really like the interlocking MSU, it looks good up close but at a distance it's too busy and unrecognizable.

The interlocking baseball MS has never been on a football helmet. We did have a MS on a helmet but it wasnt interlocking.
First off, thanks for using one of my helmet concepts for your FIRST post. Much appreciated. Secondly, here is MY version of a New & (imo) Improved MSU diagonal logo. One stright & one slightly skewed. And I'll say again: I cant, for the life of me, understand why the Ad Wizards didnt think to include an "MSU" logo of some kind in that much thought-out "Our Very Own Logo(s)" Package!! ....and a "Bulldogs" logo.

i like the msj logo. it fits a helmet the way it should. i wouldnt mind seeing the MS logo on a helmet. why should it be sacred to only baseball especially if its one of our better looking logos? the idea is to look good representing our school and i think the logo does it. as far as the banner logo goes, i like it ok after the silver linings went away. you couldnt read it and it looked like a white blob on tv.
again, ive said it a couple of times before, but i would love to see a logo incorporate the state shape of mississippi similar to the way louisiana tech does. maybe the shape with "S" or "STATE" down the center, or side, or cleverly incorporated in the design somehow. the state shaped logo that came out in the egg bowl were terrible and as many of you have said, looked like a child made the shape....we can do better than this:
its just going to take some thinking a little outside the box. one thing is for sure, you can be certain that we STILL arent satisfied with what we are seeing because uniform and helmet talk continue to be a hot summer topic and have been for a while.

I agree how bad the current "Mshape Banner" logo looks. I did this 'Mshape' last year along with a couple of unconventional helmet styles: (I know the helmets look a tad rough, so be gentle. I didnt spend too much time on them)

the shape is good, but not exactly what i thought with state. we need to nix the banner imo.
i did these just now (im no graphic designer, but i guess that goes without saying), but with the right font and maybe some silver outline, this is more along the lines of what im thinking of. we need to think outside the box with a new design imo, and cut ties with the banner. more than anything, i want to get that bookmark off our jerseys and helmet.

Why would we not want to use the baseball logo? It is by far our most recognizable symbol, and the entire university could get behind it. There is literally no reason to not use that in football. End of Story.
Glad I am not the only who thinks that...Here is a list of teams that use the same logo for Baseball as they do for Football (note: these were just the ones that I could think of off the top of my head)

Georgia
Michigan
Nebraska
BYU
UNC
Miami (The U)
Tennessee
Arizona
Almost all of these schools, at one point or another, have been dominate in football and/or baseball. They use the same logo, and there is no denying that when you see the logo of anyone of those teams listed that you automatically think of that school. Pick one logo, and stick with it for all sports...and if we had to pick one logo to stick with, it needs to be the Baseball logo.
How about removing the "U" and going with a modernized "MS" like that used in the 70's. That way we get away from anything Nike
Every time I see one of your posts, I'm reminded how woefully we have underachieved in the uniform department. No excuse to be wearing the **** we're wearing when you have these mock-ups on the table.
that is a cool helmet. i personally like the gray face mask. looks good against the maroon and the white and gray stripes look good too.
The day after they realize compliance is a problem.

I doubt in the history of collegiate athletics there has been a logotype a fan based loved as much as the MS baseball logo and an inversely proportional administration reluctance to use it. Bizarre. And don't give me an economics excuse. First people bought Russell ****. Second if they like the logo they will buy more.
