Will we be fully prepared with an effective game plan tomorrow?

Absolutely. As long as you define the game plan as the opening drive. Longer than that relies on the football magic 8 ball calling the plays.

I like a third and long situation coming out of a tv timeout then calling a timeout after lining up, then running a draw up the middle for 3 yards, then punting.
Saw this very play at W-B under Holtz with Corey Jenkins at qb against Temple in 2002. It’s maddening but it ain’t nothing new.

Sarcasm is fun and does feel good some times. But sad to say, we do need something better this week than what we have seen so far. I’m wasn’t a fan of the Shuler hire, but hopefully he’s not totally clueless. Sure , going for some 4th downs, trick plays, and special teams trick plays will be needed. But what we need is to run the regular offense better. Go 5 wide on long down situations, make them cover and see if the “shadow “ lb can contain Selllers. We all know the answer to that question. Does Shuler? Make them cover and give Sellers options. Our young WR’s will need to have a big day. Sure, maybe we will run the ball better but I’m not counting on that at all.

Why would anyone think so? We've looked confused and disorganized on O for 4 games in a row under Shula.
We had something like 14 penalties, and I'm pretty sure at least 10 of them were on the offensive line. We must have the most penalized offensive line in the country. That is a coaching issue. I know the players have to make the plays, but you don't see well coached well disciplined teams make those kinds of mistakes. And we make those mistakes week in and week out

It's impossible for me to see the boy coach getting out of this mess. He doesn't have the spine to make changes and his ego is too big to make the right hires. He can't fix either side of the ball himself because he's a special teams coach (and he was out coached last night by Drink in that area too). Wheels are beyond wobbly at this point.

USC finished the game with 14 penalties for 98 yards, including six pre-snap penalties.
