Will we see Horton this week?

Sure was pi$$ed last week.

Let him be pissed. Want to take carries away from Williams, Snell and Kemp just because he throws a hissy fit? Horton hears a fumble should try this...when the opportunity arises do what you're supposed to do.... and hold onto the freaking ball!

Don't see why. Boom and Snell need pretty much all of the carries because they're just better players. And after that it's Kemp. I see no reason for Horton to be playing aside from some injuries popping up.

If we do that means one of three things.
1: we are up by a lot and letting people play
2: we are down by a lot and letting people play
3: injuries

I'm hoping for #1

Why not try and redshirt him? I'm guessing boom will leave after this year----if possible. Use all schollies for boys n the trenches.

He's #4 on the depth chart in my mind, if he plays I hope he contributes....but with our coaching staff I fully expect Conrad, Snell or Johnson to not touch the damn ball until the 4th quarter when the game is already lost...then once we're 1-5 after Bama and a bowl game is highly unlikely they'll reevaluate the roster...why be proactive we're Kentucky.

Hope I'm wrong.

I'd like to see them all do well but like some have said he has a tendency to fumble. I'm more curious as to if King will get any time. He looked really good in the spring game and to not get at least a little time on the field is surprising to me.

Horton is a good player. Yes he has a tendency to put the ball on the ground. That is something that could be corrected. Prime example ex N.Y. Giants RB T. Barber he was fumble probe the turned it to a really good HB. We do have players better than him. Injuries happen all the time in football so I would prefer to have him on the roster. Rather him transfer somewhere else.

If anyone don't think the team didn't see the arm throw it just set him up for failure and transfer U. As bad as we have hammered the o and d line they will lay down if this clown gets the ball

This. They guy has talent and just needs a kick in the pants to show it, maybe this was it. A mad Horton can be a weapon IMO. Aside for holding on to the ball as many have pointed out, all he has needed is to learn how to lean and use his big body to punish people. Maybe this gets him started for when we need him.

Didnt' like the show of frustration but understand it.

IMO
Horton is 3/4 on the depth chart

Boom is clear #1
After Sat - Snell is clear #2
Horton and King are next - Horton is strong but lacks vision and speed
King just goes down too easy for my taste - another year in the weight room and he could be dangerous
I'm sure people disagree - but JoJo is 5. I know he runs hard, but his vision is poor (worst out of the 5). Now that we are a read option/ zone blocking team - his strength, hitting the hole hard and fast, is taken away by needing to read the blocks (no dedicated "hole" for him to run to)

Horton can be "mad", pout, and be a jerk to his teammates, but IMO he is a short yardage back at this level and not much else - especially with our current OCC

Hope Mikel does play with an attitude! That's all he and most of the players on this team need!

I disagree with your JoJo comment. He has been hampered with minor injuries this year, but when he's healthy he is probably in a 2 along with Snell at this point.

If we need him and his ready, play him.
He has some talented people ahead of him, which limits his time.
