After this weekend's absolute **** show, I'm banking on us dropping to a #7-8 national seed projection. If that happens, it's not going to take a sweep from Bama to lose our spot as a super host, so I honestly have no idea as to why so many are jumping on you today.

Like I said in the game thread, this sad performance obviously hasn't ended our season by any stretch, but I believe it's put us in a position where we need a series win next weekend to hold on to a national seed spot.

Thanks Seinfeld. The folks that don't understand sports get upset with someone when they alert them to the team slumping. The USC loss on Sunday was a harbinger. Couple that with the announcement that we are one of the host teams and the letdown commences.

Alabama is playing their best baseball now. We have to play there. Not a good combination after the weak attempt at playing baseball this weekend.

That theory would involve Ole Miss going on some tear, and that ain’t happening. We are a shell of ourselves at this point, and I don’t know that we were great before. Y’all are safe, the sky is not falling, and if it does it won’t be coming from Oxford.

I think it’s going to take at least 19 SEC wins for a Top 8 seed. So that would mean we for sure need at least two wins in Tuscaloosa. If you can’t do that then you’ll have to make a run in Hoover to MAYBE be a Top 8 seed.

Granted, we could be like the 11 or 12 seed and host a Super anyway if the Top 8 we’re paired with loses. But obviously the more straightforward path is for us to get our crap together.

Wow, guess you are having a bad weekend. Baseball teams have slumps. They also have runs of good play. If you noticed all the errors over the weekend you could see the concentration wasn't there for whatever reason. The good news is that no matter what happens in the next 5 games we will be hosting.

We'd also be a virtual lock for a top 4 national seed. Instead, we have virtually no chance for an SEC title and still have work to do to get a top 8 seed. There was a lot to play for and the team just laid down. Lucky they weren't swept by the worst team in the league.
