I love these previews Mike, but for William Fleming and a bunch of others it's going to be long and ,short' season. Seriously ? That's a preview? Somebody is going to step up young man, and when you realize just what happened, it's going to be Salem, Northside, and a couple of other teams in the playoffs. where is the coach? In these previews? Mike, I am more interested in your preview, let us hear the real business of some of these teams that won't score a point against inferior competition. it's like me giving a preview of the James Wood colonels, my old stomping grounds over 30 years ago. I will give you a preview of them, dismal. Period. Let's talk about some real football, what are the chances Salem and Sherando meet up for a rematch in November for a west title?

After seeing the intra squad scrimmage Friday I'm encouraged that Salem will do pretty well again this year. It may take a few games for them to figure out where to put everyone and for them to mesh like in '13, but I think they'll contend for a spot in Lynchburg. I'll know more in two weeks after seeing them scrimmage with Magna Vista and Jefferson Forest. These two scrimmages will tell us more than any game Salem plays all year with the exception of Northside and possibly Patrick Henry.

William Fleming's prognosis is not good imo. They lose 18 seniors & getting the returning players to work out in the off-season has been a real challenge for Coach Martin. They'll have good players, but they lost a lot of leadership from the player's side.

I'm most interested in how Navy Jones performs, if he plays at all. If it were me, he would suit up but never touch the field. No scrimmage is required to know what will be delivered.

mike, why is William Fleming in 4A? I see enrollment figure at 1677. Am I missing something?
