Williams played hurt

[DaDirtyLeb69]

I’ve never seen a team in my life have more damn injuries than Kentucky has this year. Also why the hell do our guys keep getting fricking hurt during practice

Explains why he wasn’t dunking then.

Keep it up big guy

[Son_Of_Saul]

Everyone is playing hurt right now.

Have you ever seen a team have the amount of injuries we have had

[ManitouDan_anon]

lol , just lol , sounds like the Reds in the bad 90s when a reliever or starter would give up 8 runs in an inning .. after game sent to the DL stating “ he was actually hurt “

[ImTheVillageIdiot]

No. It’s way beyond normal. It makes a lot of sense thinking back with Amari. Every time he hit the ground he was grimacing and slow to get up. Goes to show we get critical on these players but we never truly know what’s going on

[ManitouDan_anon]

I smell a coach covering for a guy that had a horrible night — and it’s all good . I’d do the same

You don’t know that though dude. If pope says it I think we just trust him. He knows more than us

[ManitouDan_anon]

Was his back hurting when he sprinted full court and slammed a dunk down ?? lol

If you’ve played sports, you know how adrenaline goes

[GoNoles111]

Lol mmmhmmm. It's all good.

I said it’s all good , I’d say the same

[ManitouDan_anon]

So if I have it right adrenaline goes good when you make good plays and is lacking when you don’t ? I’m kidding for those that don’t get it

Pope said before the game Butler was healthy and it's obvious he's not so who knows?

[Fancatstik]

I’m hurting reading this thread

[Ugoff]

I heard CMP describe it...his reaction was something to the effect of "this can't be happening". It makes sense now with the lack of jumping and lying on the floor for an extended period after one play.

[bbnkat02]

That explains the missed bunnies.

Man, this poor team.

[UKWildcats1987]

Pope said before the game Butler was healthy and it's obvious he's not so who knows?

Yeah. Looked not healthy at all to me.

[SemperFiCat]

After hearing that, it does explain some things. He looked off and a bit ginger when he went down a couple times. Definitely explains why he wasn't dunking.

Dan has clearly never had a cortisone shot before lol. **** makes you fell unstoppable for 2 hours

I highly recommend going back and watching when Amari hits the floor. Pope is definitely telling the truth. Something was definitely hurting the big guy. Worst injury luck of all time. We gotta figure out we did as a fanbase to deserve the bad luck and fix it

[65pacecar]

Butler may have been 60%, played hard and led the floor but his shot and even ball handling is off. Guy plays hard injured, then all smiles when they win and seemed genuinely happy for Pope and his teammates; you have to respect it.

Crap like this ^ make me sad to be a fan sometimes

Hmmm I’m a pharmacist and have both elbows injected 8-10 times the past 3 years .. and a shoulder , and an AC joint , and left metatarsal.

I guess but he also risks the chance of looking foolish in his own players eyes and not holding them accountable with this tactic. Dont see Pope doing that.

Hot take alert. I think Mark Pope is kind of a drama queen about “injuries” and “gutting it out”. Not everything has to be super awesome or fantastic or whatever. As the great Lou Brown once said “Over 162 games and even tough guys get strains... Sore arms... Muscle pulls..” Hardly anyone is this time of the year. Amari played like trash. No excuses. Play better Sunday.

[65pacecar]

Williams looked stiff and slow all game, this may explain it. Hopefully a nice comfortable Ice bath to relax in will help.

It comes and goes maybe

The truth hurts.....if you're scared go to church.
Or the gym, maybe.

Furthermore idiot steroids don’t act fast like that , you can block pain with a numbing agent but steroids block inflammation and take a day to two to kick in ..try again

And what's up with the brace Brea plays with on his shooting hand?

Wrong guy. I never said a thing about steroids

He defends. Like absolute worlds better than the other options. That alone makes him the choice.

[ManitouDan_anon]

Fwiw I said I’d say the same to cover for my guy .. he had a bad game and I think Amari might be kinda sensitive.. so it’s all good

[ManitouDan_anon]

Sorry , was “ dinyworryaboutit “

WTF do YOU know about their strength and conditioning program?
