hartzog I believe is the only out going Husker that has committed some place. Sort of tells you how bad things are. No one wants our players

Not all transfers are created equal ā¦ we have guys who may not get PT here and they roll out - every team has them. We have a few really good guys that would be nice to stay .. Keona, DR etc. We have several guys who are NOT entering that would go to a lot of P4 teams. Fortunately they are staying.

Glad he is staying. That being said, Iām looking forward to his next impactful game as a Husker, which will also be his first impactful game as a Husker.
Likely no other team wanted him. Yeah at least he knows the defense at NU so guess that's a plus.

Is he fast enough? Didn't he play Jack which iirc is the pass rush backer? Maybe he's a pass rush specialist end?

Agree. He impressed me in his freshman year. I think he can become a great player with good coaching.
Tweener. Not sure what they do with him. Guys like him and Achola got worse year 2. TBH big DL from Texas did as well. System? Coaching.

To me that's the problem. I think he has LB body type but he has edge skillset. I'm not sure I see the lateral movement of a LB.
IF he could be situational pass rusher who ends up with 6 or 7 sacks I'd be thrilled. As a frosh he looked like a natural pass rusher. Maybe he can find that again.

Meh. He pulled this last year and I was relieved when he stayed. His prescence ultimately was not that of a difference maker. Certainly not enough to warrant doing this song and dance again.
Since we can't seem to find quality LB's, let's just move back to whatever the hell Carl was running in 09 that essentially left Phillip Dillard as the only true LB on the field. Then we only need to find one of the sumbitches. Surely we can manage that?
