I agree. With Wilson prep staying 1a I don't see anybody challenging them the next four years. 2a it'll come down to Tarboro and Edenton every year in the east. Edenton isn't what they were a few years ago though.
I been looking at the 8A classification I understand the reasoning for the classification but they split half of the Big East conference up in 6A and 5A
Me personally I think 6 classification would have been enough but it is what it is now. They split up the big Carolina conference to.
They might actually send Eastern Randolph East for the playoffs…

A whole lot of conference rivals are being split up come playoff time. Remember when we didn't like the A/AA playoff format? This is the exact same thing. The only difference is that it extends to all sports now. 8 state champions in every sport is kinda crazy for NC.

Tough luck for Wilson Prep athletics this week. They had to go to Farmville to play basketball tonight which resulted in a running clock, and they will have a running clock put on their football team tomorrow night.
They should have their full basketball team for their game against Bertie on Saturday.

I found it interesting that coach dickens said that they couldn’t shake hands with over 50 percent of the teams they’ve played, and he said he guesses they are just that hated.
Did they get beat that bad? Haven't seen the score, but for what it's worth, it's hard to believe they got pounded in bball. I know FC is the class of 2A right now, but WP has assembled an all star team in basketball too, with the championship plaques to prove it. I don't want to say too much about that though, because I'm friends with one of the bball coaches. I'm just shocked that they would get smacked. Man, we play FC Friday while the football game is going on. I expected us to get our first L vs them, but now I fear for complete embarrassment lol. Oh well, I was going to the football game anyway.

I was going to go, but ended up having family stuff at the house. I turned it on, with the network, to start the 4th it was a 29 point game, then it quickly surpassed 40, with the subs in. FC has no starters in at that time.

Just now watched the Grit N Grind, man, I will say I love Phil’s confidence. I’ll never take away from his courage and drive he fills his players with. However, tonight is a man’s game. Tarboros first drive, I guess 4 plays and a score.
All the bravado means nothing. Doesn’t help the coach or the kids. State the obvious in public and say it’s a tall task but we will be as prepared as possible.
