Good news. It looks like he's planning on staying to play in the winter league. If I was him I'd go to the airport, leave on the first plane to the US, and never come back.

because Venezuela is his home and by not playing, you're letting the kidnappers "win" to a degree. Even if he goes out there and strikes out five times and makes a bunch of errors because his nerves are shot, just getting out there has to help him psychologically.

If we left America every time a crime happened, there would hardly be anybody left. Venezuela is a beautiful country and this incident is not necessarily a reflection of Venezuela.
