Arnold Schwarzenegger says Wilt benched 500 on the set of Conan the Destroyer and that was well past his prime. Arnold has been asked about a bunch and has never come off the claim either.

What is not considered here by him is that Wilt's arms while not being as big (around) as Arnold's, they were much longer which in itself gave him more muscle than many people think.

There’s a story from one of his finals appearances against the Celtics where he grabbed a 230 lbs player by his head one-handed and threw him across the court. He was a freak athlete in every sense.
