He either has to get way better or I can't see how someone doesn't take his spot.

Some wr weapons who can catch : get open and a creative offensive game plan may aid in the process for Wimsatt to put up better stats.

Why did it take for us to fall behind 28-3 before Schiano let Wimsatt throw the ball ?

Schiano is what he is but he needs to stop playing scared football and hoping to win 14-13 every game.

He missed multiple wide open receivers the first few drives

Zero chance there isn't a portal QB coming. OL protects pretty well so it's not as bad of a situation to walk into as it has been for years and years.

As for Gavin, man, there are 24 hours in a day. He sleeps eight. That leaves 16. If I'm him, I'm spending at least two of those hours, every single day, throwing short tosses, wrist throws...I mean, it's impossible to be that athletic and not be able to improve dramatically if that's the focus.

But as it its now, the game is too hard. You can't give up every other throw you make and play in this league.

Its pretty clear to everyone that GW is not a P5 QB. Won't mean he will transfer, but GS should not let him get comfortable as QB1. He showed no progress as the year went on. It would help if there were serviceable WRs and TEs. We all knew that, but not enough talent came.

Yup need some 7’ tall WR’s to catch the balls he sails over their heads. That should do it.

Monangai is piling up yardage for another 100 yard rushing game.He clearly was the most valuable player on the team and should get first team B1G Ten consideration.

D was bad today but so was Gavin.
Sad so much invested in him but just not good.
Move on. 2 and a half years too much.

Why ya’ll keep talking about WR. You have decent receivers but how tf you gon catch a ball thrown at your feet or 8 miles over your head.

The D was obviously bad today but they have singe handedly Kept RU in almost every game this year. Wimsatt has been the issue all year and again today. He can’t read a D or complete HS level passes. Locks onto his first read and throws no matter what. Second read was wide open multiple times today and he doesn’t even look. Just awful all around. Was planning on going to bowl game this year but after sitting in the cold today watching that garbage I cant do it.

hahaha, been saying this all year and everyone yells at me

the receivers have bailed him out on numerous catches this year

Gav is the issue
Greg's insistence on playing him is the issue
Greg's inability to develop qbs is an issue
Greg's conservative approach is an issue

I'm friends with the family of 2 mega recruits and they literally laugh when we talk RU. Greg has zero panache of what he had in v 1.0. over the past few years now it's 3 recruits saying the same things to me.

Disagree. The game plan is limited because the coaching staff has zero confidence in Gavin's passing. Either Simon is not ready for prime time yet; Greg can't admit his four star QB is never going to pan out; or Wimsatt has some real incriminating photos of Greg.

funny, the announcers said this today and it's been said before but no one here wants to believe that

He should put up 20lbs and play TE. The kid is athletic enough to give him a shot but he simply not a qb. When you are in your third year and you are 47.8% 1651 yards 8 int to only 9 TD is down right pathetic.

This place has become a complete cesspool. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. There's isn't a damn one of you that wouldn't have signed up for 6-6 and a bowl back in August. Of course Al maybe wouldn't have but he's not here criticizing our QB.
your post is the reason that Rutgers has sucked for so long and sadly, you don't understand why

GW completion percentage is < 50 % for the season. That's not going to cut it & provide for an offense that can score or sustain drives.

Need a QB to step up and get us closer to 60%
(Yes QBs in B1G get 60+, JJ McCarthy is 74%)

Dual threat only works if you can throw as well as run. I want an accurate QB that can hit a guy in stride. It's a 3-5 yard difference with each pass.

Need an accurate QB more than running QB

13 for 34 just won’t cut it. Need someone else
don't forget the unreal play by Dremel
the bad play by the md corner down the line
Washington going 10ft in the air on one
2 plays where bad throws didn't count due to penalties

13 of 34 actually looks better than reality

Yes and no. The bowl is great, but playing competitively the last four games (except maybe OSU) is not asking too much. Nor does losing by 18 to MD who themselves lost 5 of 6 coming in does not bode well. We are still light years behind MD, a middle of the pack team.

A running QB is a nice way of saying you don't have one.

I think the Iowa game was the most telling

a team we look unprepared for in every facet of the game which resulted in a blowout
