we have to do alot more than beat Tennessee- we have too many <span style="text-decoration:underline">bad losses</span> and no quality wins...


We have to beat Tenn and make the Finals of the SEC Tourney to have a chance

5 losses against teams with RPI of 113 or worse against only 1 win against reams with RPI of better than 50. Not much arguing we can do.

No way we get in after losing this one. Even with a win over UT we must win two in the tourney and hope for a few bubble teams to lose to get in and even that might not be enough.

maybe with a finals appearance, but even then it will all be up in the air depending on what kind of upsets we have in the conference tournaments. This game was our season and we blew it. We don't deserve to get in now unless we win the SECT.

They will be on the other side of the bracket so we will play florida in the quarters. Basically we wont play UT in the SECT

Win the tourney is a given. I don't know if we can do it with just a win against UT and one in the tourney unless we got something major in the way of a bump in one or more of the other tourney games (Tenn going to the finals, Kentucky getting beat, etc.)

I was really disappointed with our defense and rebounding tonight. Never thought we would score 80 and still lose a game.

I interpreted your post meaning you think we would beat UT, win an opening round game, then lose to UF in the quarters...

But yea, gotta go 2 for 2 to have a shot.

If we beat Tennessee and Florida in the SECT, we are in. Period.
What do you not understand about that?
If we lose to Tennessee, we are in the NIT. Period.

I dont think beating Tennessee and Fla necessarily gets us in at all...there are other teams at play here as well...we have alot of bad losses dragging us down...not to mention if Mississippi has a higher RPI and two very winnable games to finish before entering the Tourney- If Mississippi wins their final 2 and then their first tourney game- they will be in and that's one less spot for us

If uf loses, and we beat ut, the 2nd round matchup between us and uf (provided they beat bama) would be a play in.

THIS HAS BEEN A DISAPPOINTING SEASON.

The fact that we are having this discussion and basically shown no improvement from last year 17ing sucks.
