You're angry about life. That's your thing. If someone started a banana bread thread (which might not be a bad idea), you'd show up and rant that we better enjoy the bread now because the leftist media and WOKE mob will cancel it soon.

Btw, you're more angry about the "liberal" media and not the tragedy itself and it shows.
It's all about me now because I upset you. Such an emotional little child.

The ruination is coming from universities and media. How do you propose to not choose a side?

If anyone things that the MSM doesn't purposely slant/bury "frame" news evernts to further an agenda they're either "willfully ignorant" or actually stupid.

At the end of the day, it's pointless to argue about. Because they're not going to have a change of heart if they're willfully ignorant. And they're not going to suddenly gain 25 IQ points if they're a dim bulb.

None of this is a new development either. The media has always picked a side. The fairy tale of back when reporters reported is a myth. At the end of the day, it's easier and a lot more profitable to appeal to the stupids. There a lot more OF them. Why do you think the DNC operates the way it does?

Condemning violent ******** regardless of their party affiliation seems like a simple place to start. A good second step would be to drop the knee jerk defense/blame responses.
You've got to stop it at the source, otherwise the division and violence are just going to continue and get worse.

The weaponization of race as a political tool is disgusting, and until everybody realizes it and demands it stop, nothing is going to change. Hell, we're not even supposed to talk about it!

Once again, if you want to get a through and unbiased picture for any crime involving race in the USA, or for that matter any story where liberals are acting badly(Hunter Biden ad nauseum), you have to go to the British or even Australian media. Our media doesn’t want to know....or does know and buries it.

When a lot of US media is calling it a parade “crash,” that source called it an “attack.”

Ty for admitting this. From the KR media portrayal, to this scrubbing and delaying of the identity of the driver, the media(particularly the left) are destroying this country. All of these people protesting the KR verdict have no clue what happened. It's a disgrace. Oh, and basically every "conspiracy theory" about covid is coming true day by day. Someone has to say enough is enough. I don't watch fox either so even though I'm conservative I don't like it either. I would love seeing aoc on bill Maher(I can't believe how much I agree with him now). I think he would shred her and others like her.

Sorry. Side tracked. But yes, the media is doing exactly what they criticize white conservatives doing.

Great post. I am also a big Maher fan been watching him for years. He wears on me sometimes, but he is consistent and, most importantly, not afraid to call out his own radical faction for their ridiculous pc and virtue signaling behavior.

His tendency to paint the right with an overly broad brush would be my biggest gripe with the show. He quite often bundles all of the right with the qanon faction which accounts for only a very small portion. I do appreciate his willingness to also bring in the virus experts like Brett Weinstein earlier this year to discuss the wuhan lab theory and him blasting social media for their coverup.

...and you care about neither. You're either happy to be blissfully ignorant, just plain dumb, or just plain evil.

So I say someone acts angry all the time here (which they do, it's basically a wrestling gimmick) and you come to his rescue with "blissfully ignorant", "plain dumb", and "plain evil." You're acting slightly dramatic and it's pretty humorous. Your leader must've taught you well over the years. Don't have a conversation, just attack with petty insults while being dramatic with the goofy evil speak.

Agreed, but the problem at least on this board, is one group frames it as all the other sides fault. Until BOTH sides (that includes conservatives and folks who post in the political thread) say it's ALL ********, then it's just beating a dead DNC donkey.

CNN and MSNBC along with some newpapers are slanted. I wish they weren't but they are. Pretty easy to admit. Now why can't we have a conversation about right wing news media outlets and personalities? I've noticed when that topic comes up, they're portrayed as "entertainers" who shouldn't be taken seriously. Seems pretty convenient. Most conservatives here won't admit they watch Fox, yet those that say they don't, will usually parrot a Tucker talking point or link a Fox News article. Again, convenient. Point is, as I said, it's literally all ********, so let's call it all out and stop only focusing on the left slant. Those right wing "entertainers" are wildly popular and millions believe what they say, yet they're rarely called out by anyone here. CNN sure as hell ain't the hero of this story, but neither is Tucker Carlson, Clay Travis, Laura Ingraham, Jack Posobiec, Sean Spicer or any other nimrod with a show or a twitter account and some fake built up rage to spew.

You can do that until the cows come home but it’s not stopping a propaganda machine from convincing a guy in Milwaukee that it’s ok to mow down a bunch of white people.

The thing with ‘but FAUX NEWS’ is liberals are BY FAR more misinformed than conservatives on most issues. Bill Maher taught me that.

And when your mainstream news sources not named Fox continually get important stories so blatantly wrong, then maybe it’s not simply a ‘Fox sucks too’ thing. Runs a little deeper than that.

If you never watch Fox then here’s what you’d ‘know’ to be true.

-Trump hired a hooker to piss on a bed Obama slept in

-Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election (one of the most despicable lies ever introduced to the American people and one of the main factors in igniting this inferno we’re in today).

-Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation and fake

-You’d believe some of the most outlandish covid statistics (50% who get covid are hospitalized and millions have died in the US)

-masking children saves grandma

-lab leak is a crazy conspiracy

-Fauci had nothing to do with gain of function

-CRT isn’t being taught in schools

-White supremacy is the most dangerous thing facing America today.......

-.....AND ALL REPUBLICANS ARE WHITE SUPREMACISTS!

-Rittenhouse had his mom drive him ACROSS STATE LINES with his AR-15 in hand so he could kill a bunch of BLM protestors.

I could go on and on and on, but truth be told if all you watched was anything BUT Fox, those blatantly false stories would be truth to you. That type of blatant disregard of facts and truth sows the seeds of hatred.

A great list and an *** kicking to anybody tries to “Faux news” their way through the day.

This isn’t even including the most despicable event that I’ve ever seen, the Kavanaugh hearing. The number of lies emanating from “mainstream” media about him could fill a lake.

Why is a lot of the media left leaning anyway? Wouldn’t it make sense for them to be more right leaning since a lot are owned by large corporations?

The more the media can help create controversy and divide the more people are gonna watch. It’s not as controversial to write stories about black people killing white people as it is to continually beat the drum of white racism. It makes whites and blacks mad alike, makes em tune in and watch, keeps ratings up, puts dollars in pockets.

Reporting black on white racism isn’t controversial enough.

It’s about that simple. They choose what stories to cover and choose what facts to report and when to report em in order to fire as many people up as possible so they tune in and watch. It’s more about creating controversy, dividing, making people “take sides” all in the name of making themselves money.

Media isn’t as much concerned with accurate reporting anymore as they as greasing the pockets of the people that own the stations.

I am not overly political in the sense that I consider myself very moderate and agree with both parties in different issues. However the current Democratic Party is equivalent to the 90s Republican party. IE more extremist. I remember all the religious right ******** growing up as a kid and them wanting to teach creationism and all that **** in science class and how it made me left leaning. It’s currently the opposite with all this woke **** and wanting to mask kids and teach CRT in schools now. It’s crazy. I didn’t vote in the last election as I hated both Biden and Trump but I will vote R coming up just to try and get the democrats back in check. The Virginia governor race helped and I’m noticing less enthusiasm with all this woke BS in schools and mandates. It’s really disappointing and crazy honestly. I’ve completely lost trust with pretty much everything these last couple years and really don’t know how I’ll get it back.

Agreed. A very similar path myself.

It’s always nice seeing people critically think and being aware of their surroundings. You can be left, right, independent, whatever... but if we can’t be honest about what’s going on around us, how can we have an honest discussion? The truth needs to be reported no matter the issue.

I’m too young to remember the 90’s Ron speaks of, but I was once a registered Republican. I switched to independent once I realized both sides were trash. But between the two, the left side has went off the rails here lately.

This is true but it’s also true that people gobble it up willingly. If it weren’t the case these stations wouldn’t exist.

Long….*not a political response for the most part*

- common misconception that R’s = big corps. Very well may be that specific company officers at the top are very fiscally conservative but I would say in practice big corps have drifted significantly towards the left the last 2 decades and have settled in a center ish position. At minimum they donate as much / more to the left or really just who they see coming into power. And have made a whiplash move towards social justice. I would argue some of that was warranted but 90% is not….we don’t need big corps public takes on *everything* but that’s a different topic.

But I wouldn’t call big corps the R puppets of yesteryear, D’s have a pretty overwhelming hold on the richest people/corps in the country. Gates/Bezos/Jack/Zuck/Apple/Twitter/FB/Googs/GE/Pfizer/GM/Govt (biggest employer out there) etc…..you seeing any Rs there? I do not. Elon sure, or some weird hybrid. But it’s not close at the top. 20-30 years ago maybe. The perception may still be there but it’s not reality.

- to your main point….legacy media journalists generally come straight from J School…..bastion of left leaning universities. Start there. They go straight from J School to the legacy media, it’s a straight shot of D every graduating class. And they skip having a “real” job in the workforce, or small biz etc…..how could any of them relate to flyover country?

I’m a small business owner and my life experience compared to theirs…..right or wrong….is diametrically opposed.

This may come as a shock to you, but Democrats are now the party of the rich and multinational corporations.

Have you not noticed the complete embracement of left values and causes by corporations over the past five years?

-100%. Thank you.

-huge corps are easy to control...so our current government likes them. Small-midsize businesses are harder to manage...slower to fall in line, can't afford costs associated with overregulation (note the over...some is necessary) etc. "Big business" loves a heavy handed state...kills competition.Big players can just ship production overseas and avoid the tax/regulation/proper wages...small and midsize don't have that ability.

-"the left" is "the man" now...yet they still pretend to be fighting for the people, it's disgusting and sad that so many are duped by this.

Anybody see any updates on this story on CNN of late? MSNBC?

Meanwhile every single story on the Arbery trial makes sure that the race of the people involved are showcased. Not sure how anyone can not see the absurdity of how the legacy media treats issues of race. It is going to create more racism (on all sides), which might be the point.

I would think that the main reason is that the media has blamed the SUV. The SUV is the problem.
