had better turnout tomorrow. I thought Henderson was the longest of long shots, but I'm not sure anymore. More than just a few Starkville voters are growing weary of Wiseman's 'I went to UNC' campaign strategy.

Tommorrow will be an interesting day. Just when the town was opening up, it may elect a whole slate of candidates that will hold it back. It will all depend on turnout. Will the progressives go to the polls a third time? Most of the roll back the clock people haven't voted yet.

If a voter can honestly read the interviews the SDN did with each candidate that ran over the weekend and concluded Henderson is anywhere near qualified to be the Mayor of a growing city like Starkville they cannot be helped. I'm actually glad the Wiseman supporters are not considering this a cakewalk as such a feeling can lead to huge upsets. As long as noone wakes up tomorrow and decides not to go vote because they think Parker has it in the bag he should win. With that said, go vote if you're registered.

If you haven't read the interviews, check out Starkville Now. http://starkville-now.com/. If anyone read the interviews and attended the forums, there is no way one could vote for Marnita. She is greatly lacking in the understanding of the nuts and bolts of city government. Get out and vote tomorrow and vote WISEMAN!

are those that are going to vote against Wiseman, regardless of whether he's the best candidate. His last second attack on Cox bothered a number of people. He barely beat him and he might find himself needing those votes. Some of those voters are sitting it out, still others are going to vote for Henderson out of spite.

Maybe I'm getting paranoid for nothing. Maybe it will be a Wiseman landslide.

is there any way more than 5000 even show up to vote in Starkville for Mayor? This has to be the most lethargic (I don't give a ****) city in the country when it comes to voting.

but I would be really surprised if you can find me a city where 25% or more of the population regularly votes in local elections.

If Wiseman is as successful with his get out the vote as he was the last time, he will win. If his supporters sit out and think he will win anyway, then he is in trouble. The Matt Cox supporters who switched to Henderson are whats wrong with this city. There is no way in hell they can support Henderson if they really supported Cox in the first go around, because Parker is by FAR the closest of the two to Cox's positions.

I was actually commenting on Starkville and its own citizens for this specific election. The other cities don't matter to this board, MSU fans, Starkville residents, or students of Miss State.
