Wisconsin goes up 1...and then leaves the goofy MSU guy wide open for 3.
So people, if the committee still has plans to screw UK with the top 2 seed as the undefeated #1 1 seed if Wisconsin loses this game...does that mean we have Gonzaga at present as our 2?
You figure a triangle of Wisconsin moving to Cleveland for the 2, Gonzaga to the west as a 2 and Arizona to the west 1.

The Badger's are starting to badger MSU. Sorry, I couldn't resist. I really don't care if we end having to play them in the regional, but I admit I'm pulling for them at this point. A lot of what they needed has happened, so they might as well finish it off. Not that I think potentially facing Arizona in LA is much better for them.
Gonzaga is out West. It doesn't matter. Its a done deal.
If Wisconsin wins after this comeback and are a 2 seed I GUARANTEE someone from the committee will say they didn't have time to wait for the outcome of the game. Contingency? Forget it.
If Wisconsin isn't out 2 seed then it will be Virginia or Villanova, with Duke as the dark horse. BOOK IT.
Saw an interview with the committee head earlier. They have contingency plans, and he said today's outcome can still affect things. Wisconsin is going west if they win this. Yes, it does matter.
Arizona isn't a 1 because they are the better team or their more deserving team. They are a 1 because the committee doesn't want to send Duke, Virginia, Wisconsin, Virginia, or Villanova out west.Originally posted by UKWildcats#8:
BTW, for the Arizona Coalition....I still say if Wisconsin is bumped down it should be in favor of Duke AND UVA getting a 1 once again...UVA has a much better resume than Arizona. This whole "we can't have two teams from the same conference as 1 seeds" thing is annoying as it was in the football playoff talk last year.
That said, if Wisconsin loses, and they do have another bracket...I bet it is with the fraud Gonzaga and Arizona protected out west.

I am coming to realize that Wisconsin's lack of fouling is going to really help us if we wind up playing them.

Seth seems to think Wisconsin is a 2 seed no matter what. I personally feel that winning yesterday clinched them a 1 seed...and while a loss today may have dropped them back to our 2 I'm not sure the committee can justify of all teams Arizona getting the last 1 over them. My God they would get hammered by EVERYONE if they do that. Give Arizona a 1 over Wisconsin and Duke or UVA? That is comical.
Can't stand Bronson Koenig. Every trip down the floor he is holding up his arms expecting the ball to come to him. Hope we play the Badgers in the tourney, it won't be good for ole' Bo, and the Whisky fans

Wouldn't be the first time. Come on, you know we're all going to be glued to the selection announcements.
They might be a 1 seed. But it will be down south or out east. I don't know quite how high the committee regards them after Virginia and Duke both tanked, nor am I convinced how much they value Villanova running through a weaker conference. I just don't think they intend to send ANY of those teams out west, even if it means slipping one of them to a 2 seed to keep them closer to home geographically.
IF anyone asks they will simply say it would be stupid to make Wisconsin a 1 and send them to Los Angeles and Arizona a 2 and send them to Syracuse, and you know what? They would be right. That would be stupid.
They have said time and time again that they will move a team a seed line from where they DESERVE to be if it means keeping them closer to home geographically. In the committee's mind all this bickering about 1 or 2 seed is foolish. They view the two as equivalent, with geography being more important.

Lol they only won because the refs didn't review the play where the Wisconsin player stepped on the line saving the ball from going out of bounds. Otherwise it was MSU ball with a 2pt lead and 30 seconds left in regulation.
I think Wisconsin is a 1 seed. The real question is who is the other 1. I could see Arizona, Duke, or Virginia getting it.
You just can't make Arizona the 1 over both of those teams. It defies logic. It ensures UK gets the hardest 2 seed and that the 4th one in Arizona gets the easiest 2 in Gonzaga. WTF.
Which of those teams would rather get sent out west as a FREAKING ONE SEED than stay in the midwest and get the honor of gettinging the **** knocked out of them by UK in the Elite 8? Give me a break with that logic.
