I truly feel like we're 5-2 right now going into the easiest stretch of our schedule. I could see us finishing the season with a 8-4 or 9-3 record pending on the Ole Miss game. However, we don't have a competent head coach so...

A competent coach would have parked the golf cart and busted a gut to bring it up a notch.
A competent coach would have seen the 0-0 score in the spring game and said Oh ****, sumpins needs to change
A compentent coach we don't have

I don't know that I'd go that far. But, if we had a competent coach that did not live in the 70s and realized that modern college football is all about offense, we'd at least have a chance. Look at the top 15 yesterday. Every team but 1 scored at least 24 points. And of those that scored 24+, only one lost, Missouri who lost to #1. Defense wins championships is the biggest load of **** in today's college football. Sure, having a defense to keep pressure off your offense is a good thing. And you can win a game or 2 with your defense if the O is having an off week. But if you can score 27-30 points a game, you are going to win more than you lose.
