8-4, based on the crappy team I saw last spring that Mullen managed to win 5 with, and could've easily been 7, and included Carl Torbush, versus the team I watched practice this spring, which was a different animal. Don't know which 8 we'll win and which 4 we'll lose but that's my call.

I think we have a realistic shot at 6-6 and maybe if we get some breaks and/or over achieve can get to 8-4. As long as we're not fumbling QB/RB exchanges and just throwing the ball to the defender every time we should get to 6-6 minimum and I think all that BS won't happen bc we got rid of ****** Lee.

I know this won't happen but I do think we have enough weapons and a good enough OL and front seven on D and being really solid in the secondary gives us a chance to beat everyone on our schedule except Florida and Alabama-they are just too good. 10-2 regular season is possible with the talent and coaching we have, but I don't think things would fall in place for that to happen so I'm going to say we go 6-6. I'm not ballzy enough to say 7-5.

I would say about 6-6 too.
At best 9-3. At worst 3-9.

When I went through each game, I came out at 5-7. So many of these games are hard to predict this year. Like I said, "about 6-6". I truly would not be surprised with 8 wins or 8 losses. Our schedule is very hard. The numbers won't show it as hard as last years, but I think it is even harder with all the tough away games.

I think that 8 wins is a possibility, we still are Mississippi State, and we like to beat big name teams when they are on top, Alabama will not overlook us, but i think a Florida team with all their talent will be LSU last year, i think Urban is still gonna be sulking about Tebow going pro and wont have his head in the game, poor leadership means poor playing, they will be fighting for a team leader, as will we with the loss of AD, but at the spring game i thought Relf showed a sense of calm that he knew what he was doing and is gonna step up and lead our team pretty well with Russel learning the ropes, we are still building, but if we can come out with the intensity we had last year, im calling a W in Gainesville. all non-conference have to be wins, i agree that the year will be based on the first 4 games, Auburn WILL NOT BEAT US, auburn wont know what hit them, Relf took snaps at that game last year, and the team remembers what auburn did to them, W in starkville for that, all W's in non-conference, i think the rest of the season is a toss up, as good as arkansas was last year, we played them all game long, its gonna be a great one in starkville for that game, LSU should be a fun one to watch, I got a close win in Death Valley. I think the Egg Bowl will be a good one to watch, i got us picked for the win, however we wont steamroll them, 8-4, Bowl Bound and Second in the SEC West behind alabama.

we won 5 last year with a mini me at QB? We were in every game last year except Bama and Auburn. We should expect to win 7 and hope for 8. Schedule is tough but there is a lot of unkowns and inexperience around the SEC.

I'm making a few major assumptions in my 7 win prediction.

1) Relf is worth a ****. I think he was a different QB at the end of the season (maybe his suspension got him focused?) vs. beginning. If we see that QB, I'm feeling good. If not, we are in trouble. I'm not expecting Russell to save the day should Relf not produce. He's talented, no doubt, but very green.

2) We find a couple of serviceable RBs. We aren't replacing AD. We have a few RBs that presumably could be good, but Elliott is the only guy we've seen with real PT and, frankly, I'm not impressed by him.

3) Diaz is competent. He was great at MTSU. Can he be effective in the SEC? What will his learning curve look like?

I have no reason not to be confident in Mullen and the staff in getting us ready and addressing the areas in need of improvement. Plus, we look to have a very solid OL this year. That makes 1 and 2 much more likely - I'm sticking with 7. However, those are 3 key assumptions are mother 17-ers for the season should they not happen. I can easily see 6 being consensus.
