be something like last year's blowout in Jordan-Hare? I don't mind getting the **** kicked out of us when we are supposed to get the **** kicked out of us. But, if we don't at least put up a hell of a fight, I'm going to be depressed for a week.

and I woke up very pessimistic this morning. I'm starting to feel like we're going to be beaten fairly handedly. I have bad feeling our QB's are going to be turnover prone tonight.

Our receivers won't be able to get off the line consistently and Relf will be running for his life all night. That's how I see it anyway.

If we are getting man while they "load the box" their secondary will get carved up. If Arky State can put up those numbers in the air then we will too

Edit: Typos, damn.

I think Dan learned a lesson from last year's loss to Auburn and also knew we would need a new DC immediately following that game. I think we'll see everything including the kitchen sink thrown on the field tonight for both offense and defense. Win or lose, I think this will be one of the most exciting games we've seen in a long time.

We may lose, but it won't be like last year.

With no help over the top or in the middle someone will be running wide open. Kinda like Ark State did last week. If they play man press it will be a good thing.

The thing I worry about is giving up a big play on Malzahn's misdirection and gimick plays. We had no clue on defense last year vs them.

The other, our RBs looked very slow to the corner vs Memphis. I got a feeling Relf will be our biggest rushing threat. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it would nice to have another running threat. (We won't miss Dixon.)

With that said, I don't think their is much difference in talent. I watched the ASU game and Newton did not look any better than anyone we have. Therefore the game will be close at the worst. I think we win. I think we finally have some home field advantage with the fans and current athletic staff.

I rewatched the Ark St/Auburn game last night and Ark St's receivers had no problems getting open across the middle or on quick routes.

Last year was the first time we had seen his offense. Torbush never made an adjustment the entire game, and that is why they ran all over us. As the year went on, teams figured out the AU gameplan and they were not nearly as effective.

For all the hype/excitement/expectations etc., if we look at the season as a whole we will be doing fine if we come out of the first four games at 2-2. Auburn and Georgia at home being the best options for wins, due to the crazy curse of tiger stadium.

I think it will be a great game, and while I have lost some of my wool, auburn fans have lost all wool about their defense. Think about it, they let arky st run 20 plays more than them last week. Letting an opposing team run 80+ plays against your D can't be good.

I feel confident in our Offense against their Defense. Just not sure how our defense holds up against their offense.

that since we had little information on what Memphis would run on offense, we spent part of preseason practice working on defending Auburn's offense- the staff just didnt tell the players the formations and plays were Auburn's.

I think we will be ready

Auburn played 11 true freshman last week on defense. This should be a bit more intense of a defense miss. st. will see tonight from au. Auburn also had no film on Ark. St. as they featured a new offensive co-ordinator from last year. The adjustments were made and AU shut them down in the second half. Auburn's run d is solid, so the quick pass may be all you have. I expect you guys to score...but not enough. Auburn's offense is way more explosive than last years, which was 2nd best in the conference. Expect some quick scoring by the tiigers, can St. keep up is the question. Auburn has seriously upgraded on special teams just because of depth alone. St. will have to go for long drives i would suspect. It will be a great test for both teams..but Auburn should win.
