I was thinking that before we bowled in the endzone that we could extend the original upper deck to the left and right so that it adds alot of seats and makes the stadium look better and more symmetrical..Auburn did this a few years ago. The length of that upper deck has always annoyed me. I just think it would be a good idea to do this before or during a bowling in of the stadium. Random I know but just wondering what people thought of this. And yes I know that this wont happen for years.

I prefer us going ahead and completing a horseshoe before we do anything else. I long for us to rid of those bleachers and add some real seats in there.</p>

but I wish at the same time they'd extend that deck..if you were at Auburn this weekend you would understand how good it looks

I loved it down there in Auburn and I see what you are saying but at the sametime everything about their stadium looks better than ours. I would kill to have their stadium any day and be able to fill it up every game. We just have separate opinions on the matter and i don't disagree with yours. Our stadium needs improvement in way to many areas to sum up.

I could barely hear ours at the JSU game I have no idea why we have it so low..probably from some old dumbass alumni who thinks it's too loud.

Thats true. I couldn't hear **** at the JSU game but could hear everything loud and clear in Auburn. I really wish we had the ribbon boards they have as well. After watching about 5 minutes of the third quarter i just watched the score updates roll through on the ribbon boards. And like someone else mentioned earleir in another thread it was nice to see live stats on their jumbotron. We got a long way to go to improve the gameday experience but there are definitely some minor things we could tweak and it would make a huge difference.

...rather than just having speakers turned up louder I wonder if all of this has something to do with engineering where the sound is aimed so some places aren't really blasted by it while others are comfortable.

needs to involve digging out and building down. The space on our sidelines zaps tons of crowd noise out.

Maybe not immediately, but at some point after the west side is reconstructed

we cant fill up our upper deck now. But, you add lower level seating and it fills up. Plus, you could charge more which would lower the amount of time to pay off, Especially with the increased costs considered in adding more upper deck seating structurally speaking. The other advantage is that you dont have to spread your student section in the endzone, the lower level, and the upper deck. With that being the loudest section and all concentrated together you get a better atmosphere. And, once again, tack 2-3 more bucks on the student tickets per game. And of course, as stated before, the goal is to add premium seating which can be tacked onto the bowl when deemed necessary. Which could finance the less profitable upper deck.

The bottom line is that we will not do any expansion that doesn't involve the addition of luxury seating so forget about any kind of aesthetic expansion to the upper deck in the near future. The work to the stadium will be west side club level and north endzone expansion.

I really like the top where you can just walk around, let the kids get rid of some energy, sit at a picnic table, etc. I'm impressed with what they've done.

I think there are still many fans that do not like upper deck seats and would attend if they could sit in a lower level seat instead of an upper deck, even if the deck is on the sidelines and lower level in the endzone. Personally I prefer to be up high on the sidelines than low in the endzone, but many do not. For this reason alone, "build it and they will come" has would apply, and overall attendance would increase with a north endzone expansion. Plus additional club level seats and skyboxes could be sold, as they are sold out now.

What could and probably would happen is to take that half section at the 50 from the students and make those additional premium alum seats, and give the students a whole additional section in the new endzone. The students would get some worse seating but would net more overall seats, which is necessary as they are pretty packed in now and will only need more in the next few years as enrollment grows. Also, the visiting fans in the west side north end 5 yard line sideline section could be moved to the corner of the new endzone, opening up more sideline seats for Bulldog Club members.
