*every coach who's been at msu since 1949 has generated 0 to 2 winning seasons during their tenure which averaged 2 to 7 seasons.
*Prior to the 2001 season, MSU was closing in on the .500 mark in the all time win column.
*In jackie's first five years, 3 winning seasons and 3 bowls; in crooms first five years, 1 winning season, 1 bowl
*History shows that MSU will keep piss poor pathetic coaches around 6-7 seasons before firing them, which suggests croom will be here at least 2 more season even if they all are losing.
*MSU's brightest years in football were from 1939-48 which also coincides with ww2.

conclusion: the only way msu will have longterm sustainability equating to big wins is if bush and cheney plunge the nation into ww3 with iran, north korea, and venezuela.

Our best 3 years in that time period came before the U.S. entered WW II.

...here's a graph of MSU's wins and losses over it's history. You can thank Bob Tyler more than anybody else for us being below .500 in our history. His 17 forfeits would represent a 34-game swing between 1975-77.
