and going after 3 or so quality QBs that are good fits for what Mullen wants to do. I know, that's a striking concept considering what Sly "Mike Henig is my QB and I'm not recruiting any others" Croom did for five years at that position.

I read a recent interview with Brunetti and he still sounded very high on Mullen. It'll be a dog fight.

of just Mullen having more time to evaluate these guys. He knew Nance from Fla. camps. I'm guessing, but Brunetti is the closest top QB to Starkville, plus his leading WR from last year is walking on at State.

I wouldn't be surprised to see 3 to 4 more offered before it's over. That's one position I'm really not worried about with Mullen. We may not get the top one's we want, but if any are offered, I guarantee they're legit QB's.

I'm also hearing the silence surrounding Newton is a good sign for us.

stepping into the 21st century as far as recruiting.

Like someone said, Croom would go after Henig and that would be it, and if Croom's target QB went somewhere else, we would end up with Ty Evans or a snapper.

If Brunetti decides to go to say Penn State a week before signing day, at least we have some alternatives.

I have no problem recruiting 4 or 5.

I'd love to have 3 or 4 decent QB's on the sidelines. Especially versatile ones that could step in at different positions. Not to mention 2 or so redshirts waiting in the wings.

I don't think anyone will have a hard time remembering USC's QB depth math
