Tubby has arrived at athletic complex for another meeting. Meeting will be with A.D. and possibly Pres. Reporter not sure. Hopes Auburn will announce something late today or Thurs A.M. Take it for what it is worth.

1. I dont' want to compete with Auburn for coaches.
2. I don't want Tubby. Yeah he's a great coach but I can't stand the guy. It's a safe hire, but at this point what do we have to lose? Swing for the fences and get an offensive mad scientist from a smaller conference.
3. I think it would hurt with this recruiting class- think about it, you've got Tubs sitting in your living room telling you to come to Auburn because it's better than state- now he's sitting there telling you oh wait, nevermind- come to state? If these guys wanted to play for Tubby they would have committed to Arburn

#1. If MSU wants a coach and Auburn wants the same coach, AU will get the coach and that's just fact at this point. As for #2 hiring an "offensive mad scientist from a small conference" is not my idea of swinging for the fences. As for #3 I doubt that AU has recruited or offerred that many of our committs, I see it as a non factor. Hiring Tubs is about as close to the fence as we will get at this point. Regarless, I don't think he will be our next coach so I will just shut up.
