Better a stepping stone than a grave stone. Hope Stoops can stop this trend for head coaches at UK.
Dog? How so? The WKU position has proven to be a stop over for bigger and better things, don't see how anyone can deny that.
We would beat them now.
We lost to them in Jokers last year and Stoops only lost to them because of the mess Joker caused. I want us to play them again and revenge our losses.
Their stadium doesn't do much for me. It is improved since I went there for a recruiting visit 30 yrs ago, but it had a lot of room.
Kentucky would have hung 60+ on Western. They play absolutely zero defense
Have you watched Western play this year or are you thinking this is the basketball forum?
Western Kentucky is 37th in the nation in total defense, 4th in the nation in Rush Defense. Their pass defense is bad at 110 but to say they play zero defense well you're mistaken, and I don't even like Western. Heck they almost upset Vandy this year. I'm sure Kentucky could beat them this year but give them some credit.
Sounds like the UL defense. They thought they were highly ranked too.
Oddly Western shares Marshall with Louisville as a common opponent. Marshall was near last in the NCAA in offense so you might not be far off
I have certainly watched Western this year, including their CUSA champ game most recently....and yes their defense is awful.
WKU has had a decent run the last few years,it is good for the state.I am glad to see them doing well.Considered taking a shot at walking on there back in the day,but being from a small school that only played 8 man football and wondering if I could make the grades in college I didn't.
Though not to extent it used to be, still a suitcase college. Weekend before finals, and area around stadium had to be complete mess with KHSAA state championships going on. 7 football games on that field within 48 hrs.
