First series win vs Bama since 2014 and first ever series win in Tuscaloosa.

If Raelin Chaffin could throw 300 pitches a weekend, we would never lose a series. She’s one of the best pitchers in the country.

I'd never claim to know **** about softball, but it seems like what we've always been missing to be a CWS contender is that truly elite weekend starter.

Yep. We have had a handful of great hitters over the years. Never had the elite pitcher.

5-1 headed to the SEC off week. Hosting No. 2 Texas in two weeks. Having both Texas and Oklahoma on the schedule when you only play 8 of the 14 teams is bad luck, but we are 5-1 against two top 25 teams to start the season.

We'll get Texas in two weeks and we can't handle them IMO. But we're scrappy and might get a win. Got to cut out bad base running and some errors. We still don't have our lineup set with Ella just coming back some. Got to play at Northwestern an USM the next couple weeks and that's tricky. This team is good but the top 6 in this league are elite.

Is there an SEC school that doesn’t field a softball team? And why are there only 8 series in softball?

Vanderbilt doesn’t field a team (they have bowling and lacrosse), so it throws the whole schedule off and makes one team play non-conference games for one weekend during the conference schedule. The softball postseason starts two weeks before the men’s.

8 gives an even 4 home and 4 away. Softball season already starts the first week of February, so you can’t really start it any sooner. You could start the conference season two weeks sooner, but you’d just about eliminate the non-conference schedule and any basis for RPI, etc.

I thought this was going to be a thread on trad wives. Surely no sps dudes have to fetch their own water.***

May have to take a poll to see how many of the current posters have to go get their wives a water and whatever the wife's boyfriend drinks.
