Women's college basketball question---------

Why the 17 don't they have a time limit for getting the ball across midcourt?
What reason could there be for not having that rule?

i think it is an older rule that's on the books and they haven't bothered to change some of them, and considering how much different the women's game seems compared to a short time ago, it seems they are due for a massive overhaul in the rule book.

i'd like to see them disallow males from participating before fixing this half-court time issue.
