It's so easily apparent what the men don't do when watching the women play basketball. The women instinctively know where they have to be on the court defensively. They anticipate and adjust throughout the game. They look like they have been coached.

You kind of contradict yourself. Do players know what to do “instinctively “ or is it because they were coached? Not sure you can coach instincts.
Sure you can. A coach tells a player to use his instincts. A good coach knows when he can trust a players instincts. Many a kid has great instincts but may not fully trust it. Rick Pitino was great at that.
