You have to be a total ******* to bash your own team after a nice win, but a gentle reminder that this is CFB. The one sport you don’t get to dig out of a hole, this season was lost after the bad snap vs OU, the rest is just picking up the pieces. We picked up a piece tonight, keep building towards next year.

Great team effort tonight on a much needed performance. Ending +3 on turnover margin is the recipe for the rest of the season if we are to win some more games. Also liked the bigger commitment to the running game. Take the air out of the ball and grind out a couple wins.

Kind of like the VT game...everyone was on this tremendous high and then reality kicks back in...

Let's win a few more before we start crowning Brown coach of the year

When you see areas of deficiency improve it shows the bye week was productive. Hopefully they have some swagger back.

Not an easy road left. I just hope they give the same effort the rest of the way like last night.

Didn't see anywhere in here people claiming Brown as coach of the year. Satisfied at last night's effort. TCU game was far better than the VT win. Best game of the season by far was it perfect no. Effort and no give is what I want to see rest of the way. I can live with a loss if we do our best and the other team earned the win.

It’s going to take effort and some breaks going our way. When they look at film they will see some running lanes they missed. Glad to see a second string rb step up

Our best win and there was no official game thread. Great night win at a tough TCU team. Loved the way our defense played big time. They had their way with TCU's offense. Love it. The offense wasnt spectacular but did what they had to. Doege had a decent game, pretty typical for him just glad he didnt fumble or throw a pick like usual. He still doesnt go through his reads ever though lol.

Haters are invisible?

It was our best performance of the season, a win, and a road win at that, but let's not get carried away. We beat a team with a losing record, and one of TCU's wins was over Duquesne (should that even count?). So let's not get carried away. All wins are good wins, so we'll take that, but I don't know if that changes the narrative for this season. That will be played out over the coming weeks.

After watching the game, it was an improvement over the last 2 games for sure. However, the last 2 games were far below where WVU should be at this point. So while I'm glad for the win and not continuing the disaster of the last 2 games, the big picture is still that WVU is behind schedule.

Line seemed to block better and Leddie playing down hill seems like a good play.

Leddie looked good as lead blocker on the 2 jet sweeps.

Doege still manages to put up good stat lines, but look average on the field. He did make 2 great plays on roll outs from pressure to find Esdale and Ryan. He also was lucky to not have been picked on the first drive. Another play he missed a completely open WR dragging across the middle only to throw an uncatchable ball to Leddie. I will say he didn't take unnecessary sacks and did make a few good decisions to throw the ball away.

WR didn't drop any easy balls.

Defense gave up yards, but made the plays when WVU really needed them. Keeping their RB to less than his usual was big for the D line.

So, ultimately a step in the right direction. But still climbing out of a hole this team never should have been in to begin with. This is also possibly just an aberration unless the team can continue it this weekend. ISU is certainly no juggernaut and we have them at home after they beat a top 10 OSU. No reason WVU shouldn't win or be in position to win until the last possession.
