UNLV has already changed their mascot again that has nothing to do with slavery. I’m sure the Mountaineer may be on the chopping block eventually, especially if a “pathfinder” is done for at UNLV.

I always wonder about our Mountaineer mascot. I

Yeah, more lunacy out of Las Vegas. This is just the beginning. I wonder if somewhere the Mountaineer statue is in some snowflake's crosshairs to get it removed from campus.

Only issue at WVU could be buildings named after people who kept black students out.

The school did ban the Confederate Flag on campus.
The rest is all determined by the university, the students and alumni.

interest their will be in sports this year considering all the crap going on out in the streets...on social media...and Covid? Hearing a lot of hsrd core fans saying who cares about children's games at the moment.
Suggest that sports has always been a welcomed relief from the real world. We don't ignore the problems just take a break for a few hours. Seems like a reasonable approach

It is the truth.

Players have to be able to speak their mind and have that right.
You want them to be student athletes...

That is what students do at universities.

Hate to tell you but the NFL is almost 75% black.
So if you don't like black athletes speaking the truth you are hurting yourself.
No racism there.
Speaking your mind is one thing. Not recognizing that a t-shirt is a t-shirt NOT
a racist rant. OAN is a news network with a lot of different announcers, I suggest
that you'd be able to find an announcers who says someone everyday who says
something that will make you mad or be inappropriate. I find it hard to comprehend
that this incident has taken on such a life of its own. What would happen if
the OSU coach tried to tell players what t-shirt to wear in their own time or try and
control what they watched on television.

Everyone is coming from a different position in life.
We all don't think the same or have the same upbringing.
Like I have said I think Chuba Hubbard was wrong for doing it in public on Twitter. But ultimately Hubbard was speaking for others. He is the team leader and had to speak for the team.

I think Gundy found our how the players really felt. Could have been done in private.

You really have to know the stories of the players and their upbringing for the reason they feel a certain way.

Best for a coach to stay apolitical but if he has to he must be on the side of the players.
Gundy was political and not on the side of the players. The thing was Gundy didn't understand how people on that network felt.
It isn't just one announcer it is the network itself. The owner of the network uses it to push his historical revisionism and attempts to get poor whites angry with poor blacks.

Who cares what the players think? Really. They are getting a free ride at a university because a coach gave it to them. If a coach wears an innocent t-shirt and somehow it "offends" some players then there is a solution. The player can leave school. End of problem. No respect for these whiny asses.

According to mental lightweights like tvz Gundy has no right to his opinions unless they match a bunch of 19 year olds who have been taught to feel life owes them. Screw it.

You are still not getting it...

We are talking about players who are possibly first generation out of segregation possibly second generation.

You do know some high schools in Texas didn't fully integrate until the late 1970's and early 1980's.

That pain is still with the black community. Those players at Oklahoma State have been exposed to this. Some have actually grew up into it.

Politics aside....
Called empathy. Have to have it. Especially as a college coach.

People's minds are filled with all this ********. They are forgetting that we are speaking about human beings.
Like I said we all come from something else at times. But at the end of the day there is no moving forward unless you have an understanding where everyone is coming from.

Tvz...you still don't get it lol. Go grab your black hoodie...black pants...black facemask...and can of spray paint and spray up your own basement apartment. Enough of your left wing social adjustment ********. If folks don't like the country...go somewhere else. There is a third world ghetto somewhere waiting for you. As for college athletes...eliminate all scholarships and let student athletes play.

Nothing you say makes sense.

Just filled with anger. Similar to a lot of the black community. They have good reason to be angry still. You don't

Don't let politics manipulate you. Only thing these people care about is your vote and it is disgusting that people on both sides will do anything to get it ..

1. One, I am not displeased with our country. On the contrary I am proud of our values...our. traditions...our heritage...our will and our flag and everything it stands for.
2. I am proud of our men and women who serve this nation in the military and in the police force. I am proud to be a veteran .
3. I am proud of folks who get up every morning and go out and work hard to earn a good wage...people like my father was...working underground day after day.
4. I am proud of those of us who believe in God and understand that killing babies is a sin.
5. I am proud we can vote for our present and our future and not decide our leaders by looting...burning...and destroying other's property
6. I understand that we are born with the potential to make our way through life on our own.
7. I understand that constantly whining and blaming others for a lack of self motivation is a diversion from bad decisions.
8. I believe in honor...country...family...and faith.
I plan to oppose the jackasses who hate this country...and I do plan to vote.

Like I said...

You can learn how you are manipulated for your vote and attempt to change it or you can stay a puppet.

Your choice.

End of the day. Color nor political party matters in this country.
Happening on both sides.

You still think the Don Knotts statue is coming down...

How much other ******** in your mind is fake...
Sometimes we can't believe everything we read. Especially when it is playing on our emotions.

Going back to OAN. It is a channel that plays on people's emotions.
It is trash TV. Everything that is wrong with today's United States.
I say this as a conservative.

We have too many people politicized.
