Wonder if the black bearz would offer Earz the opportunity to be head football coach AND AD? ...

Been thinking about this scenario, since they stand in need of a replacement for both. Could be a way to get a seasoned coach who's looking for life after football. Just a thought.

As for earz, he needs to be back in the conference. It's where he belongs.

would be pretty divided on it because of the way he sneaked out town. They not only need a good coach and AD but they need a leader to unite them along the lines of Menachem Begin.

I would never hire a coach to be both AD and football coach. That's asking for failure, but this situation does offer us an opportunity to create a different reporting structure for the athletic department, like what has been created at Alabama.

If we were able to find a coach with the right level of experience, we could potentially offer him the option of running a "football department" like Saban does at Alabama, where he reports directly to the president, and the AD manages all of the other sports. I think that could be attractive to certain candidates if we chose to do that.
