Were there personal attacks that caused it to be deleted, foul language, not football related, what?

For real though mods. It happened at a NU football game and deserved to be discussed on here. This is a place to banter.
There was some foul language (the Brandon meme was brought up, and I responded by posting the de Niro video) and discussions were getting political.
That was the best thread in months: humorous, impassioned, witty, raw, insightful, raucous, and with many new posters. We should go at each other like rabid dogs more often.
Oh no! Foul language and current events discussed on an internet message board. That is a first. How will we ever recover.
It really is unfortunate. The most interesting threads disappear, while that monstrosity about the MLB - which was overtaken by personal insults for a while - still lives on.
I get why the rant board had to go. But why is there no faith in us to be able to handle good natured ribbing and mature discussions about THINGS THAT HAPPEN AT ONE OF OUR GAMES AND MAKE NATIONAL NEWS?
People take shots at me all the time. Guess what? It’s the internet, and we are adults. I’ve heard far worse in the stands at games and in locker rooms.
It’s the safe space society we live in now. I’m sure this thread is on life support. And as we taint each viable thread, they will start banning us until all that’s left is coral and his koolaid, corbi inaccurate takes, gcg one word posts and stpaul wondering where all his friends went. What a fun place this will be…

Mods are just trying to make corbi more comfortable. He’s in his element when he posts terrible takes that nobody bothers to interact with, like on twitter

It did make national news. My buddy who has no association with NU sent me an article basically saying WTF is wrong with your school.

For what it’s worth, I thought it was funny to have a defund the police banner when, in the article, they also wrote about the police not doing enough about allegations of people getting drugged. Oh well, college kids!
