Wondering what happened to my thread on the on field interruption.

Were there personal attacks that caused it to be deleted, foul language, not football related, what?

It’s a website trying to kill views and revenue. Need to be woke correct. So any thread that till cross that line, relevancy be damned, is gone.

For real though mods. It happened at a NU football game and deserved to be discussed on here. This is a place to banter.

That was the best thread in months: humorous, impassioned, witty, raw, insightful, raucous, and with many new posters. We should go at each other like rabid dogs more often.

There was some foul language (the Brandon meme was brought up, and I responded by posting the de Niro video) and discussions were getting political.
Oh no! Foul language and current events discussed on an internet message board. That is a first. How will we ever recover.

Well, once Lou and co drive this board into boredom, something will pop up to fill the void. And if they are smart, they will include a rant board if only to entice folks to move over.

It really is unfortunate. The most interesting threads disappear, while that monstrosity about the MLB - which was overtaken by personal insults for a while - still lives on.

I get why the rant board had to go. But why is there no faith in us to be able to handle good natured ribbing and mature discussions about THINGS THAT HAPPEN AT ONE OF OUR GAMES AND MAKE NATIONAL NEWS?

People take shots at me all the time. Guess what? It’s the internet, and we are adults. I’ve heard far worse in the stands at games and in locker rooms.

It’s the safe space society we live in now. I’m sure this thread is on life support. And as we taint each viable thread, they will start banning us until all that’s left is coral and his koolaid, corbi inaccurate takes, gcg one word posts and stpaul wondering where all his friends went. What a fun place this will be…

Mods are just trying to make corbi more comfortable. He’s in his element when he posts terrible takes that nobody bothers to interact with, like on twitter

Don't hold anything back Bob!

It would be really fun if we all got marooned on a desert island somewhere...

The simple way to solve this problem going forward is the use of a water cannon.

Turk, wrassler and their alter egos will be part of the banned crew. Turk has to be on thin ice now as he spills the T and calls out gcg mythdom.

The MLB post is the best on on the free board. It’s the only one not polluted with multi -handled posters agreeing with themselves or deterioration into JON stinks threads! Live on, let’s get to 2000.

Here's what Deadspin had to say about it:

"Finally, something interesting about Northwestern football.

Well, something interesting about their game on Saturday night, anyway, because it was interrupted by protestors calling on the school to dismantle its police department.

As Fox News blared in its headline, “Northwestern football game disrupted when ‘defund the police’ protesters storm field.”

The Northwestern Police have been having quite a time lately. There’s an ongoing investigation of people being drugged without their consent at off-campus gatherings, following the suspension of all fraternity activity amid an investigation of druggings at on-campus parties. But that scandal has led to protests calling for the abolition of the fraternities, not the police, as The Daily Northwestern reported."

For what it’s worth, I thought it was funny to have a defund the police banner when, in the article, they also wrote about the police not doing enough about allegations of people getting drugged. Oh well, college kids!

What did the NUPD even do that would have people calling for their abolishment?

Systemic racism. That’s a silly question. All liberal talking points end up back at racism.

What I want to know is what steps Lou plans to take to overcome the historical racism embedded with the WR message board?

So wait... are we going to take juvenile political shots on this board or not? Cause if we are, I'm happy to join in.
