Anyone had an employer make them take the wonderlic test before getting a job? My girlfriend just had to do it, I thought it was wierd...had never heard of anyone but NFL players taking it.<div>
</div><div>p.s. Looking forward to hearing all the people that grace the board that have taken it and scored 50.</div>

with Wonderlic tests supposedly to set some benchmarks for new applicants. We all thought it was kinda strange.

She just took it yesterday afternoon. I do know that after looking at some example questions, that any of those NFL players that score less than 10 really are as dumb as rocks, or just didn't give a crap and put wrong answers on purpose.

It sounds like, "The guys we have are idiots, so we have to make sure the new guys are smarter."

Have for years.

It's a test with about fifty questions, none of which are too difficult by themselves, but the problem is you have a limited time in which to take the test.

It puts a premium on being able to make quick, correct decisions.

Anything above thirty is an awesome score on it Thirty to twenty is good. Below that ...

Just now realized that these are the same numbers on the ACT but that's purely coincidental, I think.

<p style="font-family: 'Times new roman', serif; font-size: 14px; ">Keep in mind that you have 50 questions to do and only 12 minutes, so the timed aspect is what makes it hard to get a perfect score. And the questions get progressively harder as it goes, so I'm guessing these 4 questions are more toward the start of the test in the easy area. But like I said, if you can't get these 4 right I'm not sure how you learn an NFL playbook, but I guess Vince Young did.</p><p style="font-family: 'Times new roman', serif; font-size: 14px; ">

Gotta wonder what certain OM lineman from WC will make....does it go into negative territory?

Only one NFL player has scored a perfect 50. The average score for offensive linemen is the highest at 26. Halfbacks average lowest at 16.<div>
</div><div>All the math stuff isn't multiple choice either, so you have to get it exactly right and can't guess. Like you said the timed aspect is what makes it difficult, easy to make simple mistakes trying to get through it all in 12 minutes.

I took the Wonderlic 26 years ago and scored a 31. I have used itto hire hundreds of people with great success. It is the Most Important Metric of the NFLCombine, because it can shed light on the X-Factor in a player. I could easily have scored a 50, if I was given 2 hours and not 12 minutes.
