Would there be any reason you couldn't use this TV as a kickass monitor for your computer?....as in there are no plug-in holes in the back that would match the cables that come out of your computer? Thanks for any assistance with this dumbassed question.
Signal Compatibility: 720p
Screen Refresh Rate: 60Hz
Is it the signal compatibility? If you went with the one they are selling, would the image be awful or slightly pixelated? I am not one to debate the benefits of plasma screens vs LCD vs all that other crap. I can't tell a huge difference between DVD's and VHS.
Also, their box in the photo link is all jacked up.

That would be one heck of a computer monitor. I'd think the potential for eye damage would be high, unless you're using a wireless keyboard and sitting a safe distance away.
The resolution listed is the stat you're looking for. Almost all 720p TVs are 1366x768. It can decode a 720p signal, but if you use it as a monitor, you would want to set your resolution to 1366x768. A 1080p TV has 1080 lines. However, unless I was using the computer for a media center, I would buy a monitor. You can get 1080 and higher resolution monitors for less than the price of this TV, granted at a smaller size. I have one work computer that has a 24 inch monitor and I don't think I could tolerate a much larger monitor. For example, here is one that might be good (I endorse neither the site nor the product, just giving you an example): http://www.tigerdirect.co...o=5256645&CatId=4420
and I love it. I watch Hulu shows on it and it looks great. Never had an issue and I can swap the source over from my desk and watch TV when I need it. The only thing I wish it had was Picture in Picture.. although I assume that would be a pain.
