Is that the whole Singleton thing actually took place and that Tobias is in a gang called the "flor-boyz", I'm sure a play on words on his hometown flora. I fully expect for the charges to be dropped but I'd live to see who is paying those legal fees.

all these kids are in gangs but the gangs aren't what you think. It's like a wanna-be rap group that tries to act hard to 'keep it real'. They usually have My-Space pages and you tube clips of their videos.

The '40 deep crew' reps my hood.

Michael Guest is the DA for Madison/Rankin County and I can assure you he will do everything he can to push this through. He's a huge State Fan.

Surely you wouldn't expect someone to try to convict a kid of something simply because he didn't select the "right" school to play football at, would you?

And that is assuming that this police report isn't a bunch of ********.

the girlfriend was "planted" to provoke Tobias and get him arrested. Now we can offer him the option of having the charges dropped and going to MSU or keeping his commitment to UM and going to jail. You heard it here first.

I heard the same thing. I was told this from several different sources. One source was Mayor Mary Hawkins and the other was Dr. Futral (pastor of Broadmoor Baptist). There are other gangs also. The Kearney Park Kaos (pronounced like chaos). The Mannsdale Mafia (real tough). The Gluckstadt Gangstas (slang for gangsters). The Bridgewater Brawlers (tough guys from the exclusive Bridgewater neighborhood in Ridgeland). This stuff has gotten so out of hand in that area that I moved. We were living in a subdivision just north of Madison, but I now live in a small shotgun house near the corner of Bailey and Fortification in Jackson. It's safer there.
