What's your strategy? I start out with LEARN every time, and then MOIST if I didn't get enough letters with LEARN. By then I usually have a pretty good set of letters to work with. If not, I'll throw DUCHY up there. Then it's a guessing game.

So far I've only gotten it in two guesses, one time. Usually take four.

If you don't play it or think it's dumb, keep it to yourself.

I generally use a different word every time. Try and use common consonants and two vowels. If I get a yellow or a green I typically still use it in the second word to try and eliminate positions even though that may not statistically the best approach.

Yesterday’s was pretty tough. Took me all the turns.

I usually try the Wheel of Fortune strategy with getting RSTLNE in as soon as possible. LEARN is a good word to start with. I fluctuate the word I start with each time with just what pops into my head. I have yet to miss getting one right so it seems to be working.

On a side note, what the heck do the numbers mean? 220 4/6. I get the 4/6 means it took you 4 tries out of the 6 possible to get it but what is that first number?

Good strategy but I want to get the answer in two guesses at some point.

I’ve been playing Absurdle a lot. Four is the mathematic minimum for solving it. I’ve got a strategy for five. Trying to solve the four guess combo.

I'm sure it's fun and enjoyable.. but I try and avoid any addictive craze like this. Sounds like something else that's sucking up people's time. Sounds like the 2022 version of Candy Crush and my ADD is already bad enough lol.

The good news is on the website it’s only one puzzle a day. Usually takes 10 to 15 mins.

The larger number is the puzzle number. If you ever notice, they go up by one each day.

I saw a strategy on Twitter called “PENIS to anything in three.” But it’s not that easy.

I mix it up with TREAD, TIERS, LEARN, and PENIS for starters then try to get more vowels in the second guess using letters that are in the word (hopefully) from the first guess.

I'm better at math games, but I play Wordle occasionally. Usually I cheat. Search and you will find various "Wordle Helper"s out there. They'll list the remaining word possibilities after each turn.

I agree people that share their results without solicitation are annoying.

Howeva… I did get it in two today with no letters on the first 😄

Why do people share anything on Facebook or other Social Media? Same reasons as always.
  • To show that my trip/meal/kids are better/more expensive/cuter than yours.
  • To show that I'm smarter or richer than you.
  • To get sympathy likes.
I believe Wordle falls under the 2nd one.

Good insight. I have been starting with CHIEF each day - batting 100% thus far. Might try some of these other word options listed above though,

Had pretty good luck starting with crate past few times. Haven’t missed one yet altho came close a few times. It’s a fun quick game

Moist was actually the word within the last week or so? I just started playing within the past two weeks myself. Never use the same starting word twice, always just go with whatever pops into my mind and go from there based on success of letters. 4 is definitely my most popular 6 of 12 at this stage. But have 2 two’s and 3 threes with a 5 mixed in. I’m sure I’ll tire of this at sone point but something cool to do each day that takes maybe 10 minutes on average.

I use a similar strategy to some of you all. My first 2 words are FEUDS & RATIO...this gives me all vowels and a couple of good consonants. Can't wait till the day the word is one of these 2 words, might even share it on social media that day.

Yeah the day I got it in two moist was the word and I only used it bc Op suggested it. I will still take the credit tho 😆

i have only played I think 6 times now gotten it every time, altho barely skated by on the last chance past couple days. It’s a fun game as u said will prolly get old after awhile.
