Now that Oweh is back and the long off season awaits us. I am just curious to see if there are any crazy/funny stories you can remember as a Cat fan.

A quick one for example. A couple years back while we were losing to someone I’m thinking it was Tennessee… I completely lost my cool at work and broke some pretty expensive equipment and almost lost a job that I love. I punched a touchscreen on a large machine and shattered it…. Yea ik pretty dumb, but looking back I laugh at myself for taking something way to serious. Also I live in Tennessee and absolutely hate when we lose to Tennessee.

Ik this is random but figured it’s about to get pretty slow around here. Like to hear if I’m not the only one lol

A buddy of mine also ruined a date one time because he kept running into radio shack in the mall trying to watch the UK Louisville game. This was back before you could just watch it on your phone. Always thought that was a goofy story.

Glad you don't work in a nuclear missile silo.

I'm 45 and I have done some crazy **** watching UK back in the day..... I still get a little mouthy with the language when I watch these days but don't hardly do the crazy **** like I used too. My kids watching the games with me back in the day used to think I was crazy! Who know maybe I was/am CRAZY .... LOL

If you go on a date during the Loserville game, you're not doing it right.

On vacation w family watching the 98 Championship game in our hotel room. I was completely self absorbed, yelling at the TV over some officiating injustice. My daughter who was seven snapped me out of it when she said 'Dad, it's just a game' w a shocked/disgusted look on her face.

I was at a middle school basketball game in SC watching my daughter play. There was an older guy in the stands wearing a Louisville sweatshirt. I acknowledged his shirt and told him I was from Ky and a UK fan. He went nuts and began screaming, “you hurt Michael Bush on purpose!” Made a big scene, I still regret not pushing that old man down the bleachers.

Punched a small hole in a wall when I was 12 or 13. Had to work off the damage at my grandfather's farm, which required a start time of 5 a.m.

September 17, 1988 was our wedding day. UK was playing Indiana in football as well. After the wedding ceremony we let everyone go into the fellowship hall. We were supposed to do the pictures then head down for the rest of the festivities. I told my wife I had to go pee, went downstairs into the office area of the church where a TV was located. Had the game on with several groomsmen and myself watching the game, forgot about them upstairs for about 30 minutes, wife sent someone down to find us. lol

That was the start to the marriage.

Went to my friend's wedding rehearsal dinner at John E's restaurant back in the mid 80's. Kentucky was playing LSU that evening. Only TVs in the whole place were in the bar downstairs from where we all were. Needless to say, right after dinner, 3 or 4 of us, the groom to be included, excused ourselves from the table and went downstairs to watch the game. We won and everybody but the bride to be went home happy.

March, 1992. I was at home watching "The Shot" game. My then-wife was on the couch holding our 10 day old daughter, who was asleep.

From about 5 minutes to go in regulation I could no longer sit in my La-z-boy recliner. I was pacing the floor and mumbling to myself during time outs, and standing directly in front of the TV during live action.

Fast forward to the end of overtime. I'm going crazy in my head and can't let out the scream that so desperately wants to come out. My nose is only a foot from the screen when Grant Hill throws the long pass to that guy whose name I will not mention. He turns and buries "The Shot". I froze. Didn't (or couldn't) move for what seemed like an eternity. My wife whispers to me, "You're going to cry, aren't you?".

I never did cry. But I never got over that moment, either. Perhaps my sleeping newborn was the only thing that kept me from breaking out into a rage. And it may have caused some long lasting emotional damage to bottle up the feelings I had at the moment. Might explain a thing or two about me.

When Kentucky lost to Louisville in the original Dream Game, 83 NCAA regional finals, I went to one of our barns that had an 8 1/2 ft goal on the loft door. I was so frustrated that I just dunked, and dunked, and dunked so violently that I nearly ripped the door off of the hinges. That was a tough game to lose, especially since Louisville was probably at the peak of their popularity.
