Yeah, we all know soccer isn’t a real sport😛

But who’s going to win it this year?
How will the US team do?
Is anyone going?

Would take my son to see Argentina (likely Messi's last) or Portugal (likely Ronaldo's last) but holy **** are tickets to desirable countries insanely pricey. Would have considered Poland for Lewandoski but they were eliminated I believe.

Parents originally from Iraq who have qualified for the first time in 40+ years. Taking my dad to the Iraq vs France game for his 75th birthday and going to the Iraq vs Senegal game. Yes I paid an arm and a leg but I figure watching the world cup in the states without flights and hotels is likely cheaper than seeing any future games abroad. Once in a lifetime I figure.

As for who is going to win? France and Spain are going to be tough to beat and England could maybe pull off a stunner.

I know nothing about it but a friend "won" tickets in NY. I guess it is a lotto system...anyway he is not using them so he has been selling them and is making a ******* killing.

Cant wait .. next month should be a fun watch. Will get to KC for a match that isnt Argentina. Our country is a bit of a **** show right now hopefully we dont further embarrass ourselves in regards to treatment of visitors and participants. Zlatan being on the Fox coverage should be very entertaining

Not if you bought me steak amd lobster... my two favorite food groups. Toss in a couple lesbians, and i'd listen to your offer. I'd have to see the lesbians first before agreeing to watch though.

Not one minute
Algerian coworker comes up to me and asks me if I'm interested in the world cup. I told him, there's not enough alcohol to make it interesting. Then he shows me his phone and showing the game on his screen. He proceeds to tell me how exciting it is. I tell him it has never been exciting. So, I guess I saw a minute! 😂

I really tried to get excited in 1994, but the OJ thing was so much more exciting then, and the trial had not even begun.

I was bored, so I read that Caitlan Clarkeye is not having such a good year.

I cannot name a single member of either US team. I can even name a couple of golfers and a couple NASCAR drivers, but not a single US team member. Kind of pathetic, both that I cannot name any, but at same time pathetic that there is so little excitement to make me pay attention!?!

Every rule in soccer has been designed to control/manipulate betting. Red cards are totally subjective. Offsides is made up when they could just simply paint a line on the field. The amount of time remaining is a total mystery.

That part doesn't bother me.

The crazy part are their fans. They are soooooo unhinged about liking soccer (American fans) that they literally get mad if you don't like soccer.

I enjoy Soccer. However the avg American exposure to good Soccer is limited. Just watch the World Cup or Olympic Games, and EPL and then try suffering through a MLS match (sad).

You want to watch something horrendous? try Cricket.

This is what soccer fans do!
"The average American" like, we don't understand soccer, we can't pick up on the passion and creativity like a "real" soccer fan can. A fan that watches matches from other countries.

Come on.
