Currently the world's largest cowbell is in Germany at 10' 9". The company i work for in Starkville is taking on the task of beating that world's record. The bell we are building will stand 12' tall and have a detachable handle that adds another 8 to 10 feet (has to be detachable to make it under power lines). We will be working with the university as well as the people who built the large cowbell you've seen in the junction. We will mount the bell on a trailer so it can be moved around to all things MSU (Dudy Gras, football games, etc.). We have been tasked with funding this venture through donations and fundraising. If anyone has a trailer that will hold up to 7500 to 10000 lbs (the bell will weigh between 5 and 6000 lbs) and wants to donate it or sell it for cheap, please pm me. We will be selling metal signs with business info on it as well as business ads on the t-shirt we will be selling to raise all of the money. It will be able to be pushed side to side slightly (because you can't have 5000 lbs moving about on a trailer and it be stable). It will have double ringers on the inside hammering against the 1/4" thick plate walls that make up the bell. It's going to be great!
